Spacious overall. The cafe area is a good place to enjoy their ready made food or a coffee with pastry.
The bakery staff is attentive too. Somehow the great apple strudel is offered not very often. I was alarmed that I asked for "pasture eggs" and I got a blank, deer in the headlights looks from an associate. Other staff members do not seem to be on the ball either for example having almost a shouting match in the second floor cafe oblivious to the customers.
The produce has local NYC and LI lettuce which is good. But I was shocked how sloppy they were with the orange display. Having a big sign for Cara Cara oranges directly over the blood oranges.
I like the Whole Body sections with many good items to choose from like French hand soap. Also liked their herbal extracts and sleep aids.
Seems like Whole Foods is beginning to lose its edge. More bad experiences and I will have to change the rating to three stars.

Awesome friendly staff, always smiling and go above and beyond to help out. The 11:00PM close time is perfect for evening grocery store runs to pick up high quality items.
The fruit selection is great, much nicer than I expected for midtown Manhattan.
The pizza is good, but it's not NYC pizza.

Super well run store. Love how there’s never a long wait at checkout no matter how long the line gets (that's because they have agreat system) ... plus you get good value, especially with their house brand, and plenty of house brand products.

I love this store.  Since becoming vegan.  I find hard to find items.  I hope they would put one in Brooklyn Flatbush Terminal Mall on Atlantic Ave

Yesterday I bought 3 pounds Lamb Shldr Chop around 7 pm and I asked if it was fresh and the employee said yes. I got home around 8 and I put it in the fridge. Today I opened the bag to cook it, I found it smells, also some pieces their color have been changed to purple. I don't recommend this place for meat at all. I throw the whole thing in the garbage because I live im Long Island. It's not worth it to get to the city for 30 dollars.
