I visit Wild Bird Center at least once a month to keep our bird friends happy and to get good advice. The owners and staff are delightful people who are very good at problem solving. I appreciate the high quality of their products and bird foods.

Cozy space for birding enthusiast with a knowledgeable staff.  Multiple varieties of booth food and feeders (found the peanut feeder we were looking for).  Has a small selection of thematic clothes and jewelry.

I have bought bird seed and all manner of feeders and houses for songbirds, hummingbirds, squirrels (yes, wait until you see their *games* for squirrel feeders!) over the past 16 years at the Alexandria location. (They have their original store up in Maryland.) Their employees are incredibly nice and educated abt birds, feeding, etc. They are a marvelous resource for wild animal rescue organizations, too. The feeders I purchase there have a lifetime guarantee! Imagine that! When something breaks or falls off a feeder, I take it to them & they repair or replace it, many times free of charge. Their bird food is highly varied, you choose based on what birds come to your yard, or what you'd like to attract, just ask them for help. I have never had birds refuse their food; I cannot say that for bird seed I've bought in grocery or hardware stores in the past.
Note: they have beautiful, quality animal-themed socks and lovely, well-made earrings also; I cannot resist them! I only wish they'd bring back their hand-painted *readers* (inexpensive reading glasses) -- I bought a pair with hummingbirds and binoculars painted on the frames. Adorable, if you like zany glasses!

Friendly knowledgeable advice; great seed prices, convenient big bags of seed.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff.  Helped explain all the different types of feed they carry and what type of birds they attract. Wide selection of feeders and houses that are high quality. Not the cheap plastic stuff you find in big box stores.
