This place is great! My now husband and I visited two years ago and had a blast here. We are young adults(24) and are by no means into the party scene, we just wanted to peace and quiet close to nature. There were walking trails here which allowed for some GORGEOUS views of the salt marsh and local wildlife (so many birds!). We stayed in a tent and the rates were awesome during peak season. If I had known that a pop-up camper would have counted as a tent I would have brought along a friend's! The showers are always clean and there is laundry on site. The place was quiet (except for one night we could hear a couple being quite intimate). There are many "resident" campers that mostly contain older couples, they were all friendly and their dogs/cats were too. The staff was very helpful. Normally I stay closer to the beach, but that just wasn't feasibly money wise that year. My Husband and I brought our bikes and a little trailer and road back and forth into town and the beaches. It was a wonderful trip. I only wish we had more time to explore the bike paths! One night we did see a skunk (we forgot we had pizza slices in our bike trailer, our bad) but he minded his own business luckily. I would certainly come back again!!

My Wife and i spent three nights at Wild Duck and wish we could have spent 4 more at least, it is perfect for us and the dog. Quiet, clean, friendly, and close to great Maine seafood and attractions. The first 10 minutes we were there we see turkeys, ducks, stork and a blue herring. We will go there again for sure.

Quiet campsite, very clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and cute baby ducks. While this is mostly a camper/RV/mobile home campground, the small number of tent sites make for a quiet and peaceful stay. Would go again.

stayed there for a couple nights, everyone is friendly and everything is simply beautiful. If you want to camp near old orchard or Portland, definitely go there!
