I don't normally do reviews, but had to share a miserable experience I had "tubing" down the San Juan River on a Wilderness Journey's tube. This was a meat grinder. The small tubes they use need a maximum weight allowed. The small tube, combined with a large man and an extremely shallow river with sharp, slippery rocks and fast current, was a recipe for one of the worst experiences my daughter and I have ever had. The amount of time actually floating was approximately 20 percent of the whole journey. The remainder was spent stranded on sharp rocks, tipping over, trying very unsuccessfully to walk to the shore without slipping, breaking an ankle or your scull on a slippery krag. It looks like it will be a walk in the park when watching from The Springs Resort, but what you don't see up river is an exhausting nightmare that I wasn't properly instructed about the challenges that this activity includes. This was dangerous and I am sure there are many injuries that occur on this excursion. So after chewed up legs and lost glasses and a daughter that I was so glad that I made her wear a life jacket, the message is: skip this activity. You will be glad you saved your money and your health. Never again.....

Eric took care of us all day, made sure we didn't miss anything. Very informative and fun. I would highly recommend this outfit.

The guides are amazing, professional and so much fun. I was intimidated by the whole river trip due to some previous raft trip in another town. My fear of the water had grown. This staff and my guide got me thru it. I would gladly Raft down the river in Pagosa Springs a hundred times over with these people. Thank you
