The North Wildwood beach was EXTREMELY crowded !  There were many people who would arrive really early on the beach and set up these large tents, sometimes MULTIPLE tents, as close to the water as possible only to leave the beach entirely and come back when it suited them.  This practice effectively cut off any view of the ocean.  In my opinion, people should only be permitted to use these tents further back on the beach.  Besides these tents, we felt like we were on top of each other due the amount of people with very little spacing.  If I could have given LESS than one star I would have. WAY TOO OVERCROWDED AND INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE !

Been visiting since a kid,  always enjoyed this beach.  As an adult and visiting with my own cubs,  I arrive EARLY when the beach first opens,  dip out by noon at latest. I ignore whatever goes on around me if there's drama,  I like to reflect on my younger days visiting.  There are signs for no dogs,  they're prominently posted.. yet there are dogs on the beach.  In early morning especially before the beach is raked you gotta watch the defecate while making your way to the water. Lifeguards will only reprimand you if you're smoking a cigarette, even if you're in the ocean because for some reason they're endorsed by Triton apparently to stave off air pollution . Just watch the dog droppings and the washed up medical waste, aside from that ignore the crazies and envision like 1994 and you'll have a great time!!

This beach gets worse every year. It smells like sewage and there's garbage all over the beach.
