I visit Wildwood every year and this is, hands down, one of the best places to get food down there! Everything we tried was amazing. The rich flavor of the Aussie sausage was incredible and the snap of the sausage casing was to die for. The seasoning rub on the ribs was also a huge standout. The brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful—I really loved that the burnt ends was a menu item! We learned about Wildwoods BBQ from a YouTube video and visiting in person did not disappoint. The effort they put into their food deserves an award. Highly recommend this place! It’s got a cute interior, too.
BEST BBQ PLACE IN WILDWOOD!!!! We decided to go here on a whim because we had never heard of it before. When we went in to order we were greeted by the owners who were extremely friendly and welcoming. They told us about how they are from Australia and that the place had opened a week ago. The food was amazing - we were offered a free sample spare rib because they were topped with pistachios and other types of nuts, which was something we had never had before. All of the food was extremely good and it seemed that the owners had a real passion for the way the food was prepared! The pictures don’t do the food justice, it looked much better in person. It was a but expensive, but I think it was definitely worth it because of the high quality of food. Definitely will stop here next summer!
Must go to for any barbecue fan. The brisket is insanely good, but don’t just fill up there, their ribs and sausage and sides were amazing. I was only able to snap a shot of the ribs in between breaths and shoveling the carnivorous goodness into my mouth.
Mouthwatering brisket, ribs, chicken, burgers, and other classic bbq fare. They even have a vegetarian option mushrooms which absolutely rivals the meat options. They're open daily until they run out of food, so get there early, or you might be fighting for leftovers...
Has great potential, but definitely cut some corners. Mac and cheese was excellent. Brisket was well seasoned and just smokey enough but very dry. A huge loss is that they use Sweet Baby Ray's as their BBQ sauce, no self respecting BBQ restaurant should use store brand BBQ and it's far too heavy for the meats. Pulled pork sandwich was soggy but decently flavored. Food was fairly priced for BBQ. They do have indoor seating but it was very hot and stagnant. Outside picnic tables are also available. Drinks are bottled water or sodas but are fairly priced.
Heard about this place from the eater vid, and when I found myself in wildwood, I had to go! We got a 1/2 lb brisket and a pint of pickles to go, and oh my gosh it was mind-meltingly delicious LOOK at that smoke ring!. Also, get the cauliflower!
After trying everything on the menu over the course of a couple visits, I can confidently say that everything here is exceptional. I would understand if you assumed the veggies/salad at a BBQ joint wouldn't be a highlight but you'd be wrong in this case. The Caesar salad and fried Cauliflower are must have sides. Also, they have some of the best sausage and chicken I've ever had a BBQ place. Oh, and I have to mention the burger: the chefs have created an "elevated" quarter pounder that had me wanting a second one immediately. So, obviously, go very hungry.
We rode by today and decided to try it out. It was really good! We got an order of ribs, brisket, 2 sausages and a large mac & cheese. The total was $61. Not cheap but I can honestly say it was worth it. Service was fast and the food was delicious. The ribs were great! They had a sweetness to them that was different but good! Will definitely come back again.
Best BBQ I've ever had. The brisket is super tender and juicy. Owners are great people as well. Definitely coming back
AAAAA+ Voted Best New Restaurant in The Wildwoods. Ridiculously amazing barbecue. The food and service is head and shoulders above what I expected. Brisket, burgers, ribs, sausage are so good it made me want to put my grill out at the curb. The fries are cooked to perfection. The owner is a master chef who somehow wound up buying a smoker from Louisiana that is so massive, that they had to demo the front of the building to install it. The blend of hardwoods in this smoker had such an intoxicating aroma that I didn't want to leave. North Wildwood is very lucky to have this place. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended and a required stop when visiting the island. Kid-friendliness: My 13 year old told me about it. Totally kid friendly.
