No restaurants by the gates. Had to exit security and re enter. Limited options and conveniences. No gas between airport and rt 81. Had to exit the airport to find a gas station to fill rental car. . Lucky we were early. Pretty little airport that was not well engineered for travelers.

Rental car agency was a dreadful experience. I reserved a car with HERTZ on 3 different occasions. I have gold card status my profile is set but all 3 rentals were wrong. First one car had the smell of death. Second one i went out to get the car it wasn't there. So i had to go back to terminal to get a new one. Third time they set my picup time at 2:30pm I set it for a 5:30 pickup so i called changed it to 5:30 my price went from $914.00 to 764.00 3 hours adds a day to rental.  Just a bad experience avoid hertz if you can.

Easy experience.  They had my car ready and the Wilkes Barre airport is so small that you can walk to the lot.  They also offer the ability to leave keys when they are closed and that was needed since my flight left before they were open.

We have had 3 cancelled flights from 2 different airlines in the last 4 weeks.  How am I supposed to work in the area if they keep cancelling my flights.
