Known for its beautiful golf course atop the Catskill Mountains, Windham Country Club is an 18-hole public golf course with a private club atmosphere. Located in the heart of Windham, NY, the course is scenic and challenging with beautiful greens and fairways that follow the Batavia Kill and spectacular views of the Great Northern Catskills.

My husband and I golfed there this past weekend and it was great. Beautiful course. Crowded early on but we like to start late in the day so works perfectly for us.  Very nice folks in the pro shop and the pub. We will be back as soon as we can!

Imagine setting up to tee off and play while a live band is playing on the deck of the clubhouse. Try to block it out because that is what you will have to do when teeing off anywhere near the clubhouse on a saturday afternoon between 2 & 4 p. This means the first, second and third tee boxes, fairways and greens and any green on the back nine near the clubhouse. When you get to the ninth tee box same thing. I love loud music but not while golfing. At least you will have an excuse for those hacked shots.

Course is beautiful & in great shape. The pace of play is pathetic! No rangers or course management at all! There are two children working the counter & do nothing about pace of play. Just keep sending people out. I asked multiple groups about joining up since I was a single & I was told no. That made the pace so slow it was pathetic! Mind you it's October & this should not be happening. I felt like I was on a NYC public course! PATHETIC!!

This is a beautiful and challenging course with spectacular scenery. My Friends & I have it played several times & it has become one of our favorites. We were extremely pleased to see that you have done such a great job in restoring it after the recent storm damage. In light of this we were quite shocked to find that several holes were rearranged without directional signs. We received no instructions or guidance from any of the staff and although some of the carts had maps, mine did not. We played five other courses in the area this week without a problem. I have played more than a hundred golf courses in my lifetime but I never had such a disappointing & frustrating round. It's obvious to me that correcting this problem would speed up the pace of play & that many golfers would be happy to come back. We do not plan a return visit until this problem is corrected.
