Story

Family Owned Hotel in a Family-Friendly Area
30 years of service in Roseburg has given us insight into what guests are looking for when they stay in Central Oregon. We are located just off Interstate-5, close to things to do near Roseburg, Oregon.

Spend a day hiking through the southern Cascade Mountains in Umpqua National Forest, or go river rafting down a portion of the 110-mile Umpqua River. Not too fond of adventure and adrenaline? Tour the wineries of Umpqua Valley that serve a huge selection of varietals to taste. Take a scenic drive along the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway past waterfalls, through covered bridges, noticing the elk and other wildlife along the roadside.

Windmill Inn will be undergoing a renovation throughout 2013. Our already clean and comfortable guest rooms will be getting a facelift so you can enjoy your stay even more. Everything from new bedding to an upgraded lobby will allow us to put our best foot forward and continue our legacy.

Looking for a fun night in with your family? Stop by the front desk to get a board game to start up some friendly competition in the courtyard. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and some fruit while you're in the lobby. Discover Roseburg and get some exercise in when you borrow our guest use bicycles. Don't stay here! We read good reviews about this place and so we stopped late at night on our road trip from OR to AZ. I was driving our car wth our baby and my husband drove our moving truck with our son. We were both so tired ! Now, we are settling into our new home and found a $300 charge from this hotel. I called and they accused us of smoking marijuana in the room. It's laughable because ANYONE that knows us knows we don't smoke ... it sucks to be accused of something that isn't true. The manager ended up refunding us but said we were never allowed to stay again. Not that we would, but we are blown away that we were accused of this and not even told we received a charge. Save yourself the hassle and don't stay here . I would hope they would retract this accusation and refund our nights' stay. But no, instead we are shunned from the windmill inn. :-/

It's a very nice place. The rooms are clean , well maintained. The people are so pleasant, friendly, and seem to enjoy their jobs. The pool and hot tub were both clean. I have really enjoyed our stay here.

Really comfortable and clean rooms. Was quiet, so I was able to sleep through the night. Satellite television came with several HBO channels. Front desk sells a number of wines and snacks. More than i have found at other places. The free breakfast was very basic and not just okay. There is an Elmers in the same parking lot with better options for food.

The rooms were clean but a bit older, staff was very helpful, and breakfast was served in a clean environment. Fridge and microwave in the room both worked well. Beds were a bit hard for our liking, walls a thin so we heard the folks in the hall chatting and the sirens going by, and price was a bit high for what was offered compared to some of the other places we stayed on our road trip. But decent place for our short stay.

Hotel was easy to find. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was polite and helpful. They offer a discount at the restaurant next door for hotel guests. Room was comfortable and clean. They also provide a heated pool and free breakfast, although I didn't partake in either one.
