Very rude, dismissive, and very apparent negligent service. On yesterday I ate there for lunch and ordered a salmon ceaser salad. Let me first start by saying that the hostess are very kind and sweet, however management and the server that my friend and I had was extremely piss poor. I have NEVER had such terrible service like I had on yesterday. While eating my salad about 3/4 through I noticed that the middle of the salmon was still a little raw. Some people may like there seafood cooked a little medium well, however I don’t. I raised concern to the server when my friend and I finished eating our meals because you sure couldn’t do it while you were eating because she came to our table 2 times and that was it. She never came back over after that second time to check and see how our food was. I was I a rush to get back to work and needed to leave, however I stayed so that I could let management know that I was dissatisfied with my salmon. It took me to ask another server/bartender about my bill. I was dismissively told I had to pay the bill and then the manager could come over and talk to me since she was in a meeting that they couldn’t disturb her of even if its a dissatisfied customer raising a concern about halfway cooked salmon. She was extremely defensive as if I was going to walk out and not pay. I had to run the manager down after her meeting was over because clearly she was not interested in resolving the matter. When I approached her letting her know about my salad her response was “ well I looked at the salad and saw that you ate most of it” now if you knew about my concern and you took the time to look at it and continued to be “fake” busy at the desk in the front why wouldn’t you come over and see what the issue is instead of trying to avoid it and pretend you are so busy helping everyone in the restaurant. Customer complaints should be number 1. It should be a managers duty to handle them to the utmost professional manner, but instead she tried to dismiss the situation by stating I ate most of it. I was on my lunch and pressed for time and clearly the server and the manager did not care at all initially about satisfying a disgruntled customer. She finally did apologize which was not sincere at all and took half off my bill. That was my first and my absolute last time stepping foot into that establishment. They were very rude, very dismissive, seemed to want to only cater to there race and yes I’m pulling the race card because at the time of service my girlfriend and I were the only black people in the restaurant at the time. My friend sat at the table for at least 10 minutes before they even came to pick up the check for payment. They don’t have to worry about me or anyone I know stepping foot in there at all. I will never go back because of the way I was treated.

This was a pleasant surprise! Thought we may get wine and a cheese plate after some holiday shopping, but the food menu is amazing and every bit of our experience was great! Our server, (I think his name was Joe? We learned all about him but I’m horrible with names; Italian from Florida) was phenomenal!! Great personality without being fake or scripted! I had the salmon BLT and my friend had the steak panini. Both were perfectly prepared! The hostess pulled the chair out for an older gentleman next to us and it was the sweetest thing! We will be back very soon!

When we were seated, the place was very empty. It never filled up but a large party came in after us. We ordered our food and waited and waited and waited. The waitress never checked on us or let us know what was going on with our food. We had other business to attend to during lunch hour but couldn't because we ended up waiting 30 minutes for our food! This is ridiculous for lunchtime. When we asked what was going on, they told us our food was after the large party. I think there was a mix up but all we got was a "Sorry". Definitely lacking a customer first attitude. If the food had been worth it that would be one thing, but it wasn't. The special quiche was bland. The salmon sandwich was also bland; it needed some sort of sauce or livening up. The truffle fries were good. Everything lacked seasoning and salt. Our table didn't have any salt (and of course the waitress didn't ask if we needed anything until we were almost done eating.) The grinders/ salt shakers were so clogged we couldn't even get the salt out. Normally I wouldn't complain about piddly things like that but the whole experience was just so annoying at that point. We had to rush through our food and beg for the check to finally escape! Usually an experience like this ends with some token of apology so that you'll feel good about giving them another try but nada. Phew! We will NOT be going back!

I went there trying to have a good time and one of the waiters almost ruined my night. she came to the table and look at us like if we were aliens. I was trying to order some appetizers and asked her a question; she was very rude and left saying "I am confused". 3 minutes latter another waiter attended my table. however not happy with the first waiters, supposedly her shift had ended, but she was there until the end. The waitress has issues with people of other cultures.

Best food in the the Rivergate shopping area. Surprisingly good selection of local/regional craft beer.
