Our hosts were most welcoming and truly love what they do. We spent two days in a beautiful, clean cabin located on a forested hillside above stunning Kootenay Lake. A short trail through the forest provides your own private beach to spend the day. If that wasn't enough, the dramatic peaks of the Purcell Mountains are a constant reminder that you are in a special part of the world. Sitting on our porch, listening to the abundant bird sounds and taking in the vistas is a wonderful way to end your day. We will return. Jim and Suzi.

Wing Creek Resort was exactly what we needed - a getaway from work and our busy lives. We didn't want to leave after the weekend, it was just too relaxing. The hosts were amazing too! We'll be back, hopefully sooner than later. Thank you for providing this stunning retreat experience.

Wonderful resort. I can't say enough nice things about it. It's beautiful, clean and well managed while maintaining a cosy, quite atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We plan to come again!

We have just returned from a week at Wing Creek and it was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time! The property is absolutely gorgeous, the cabins are beautiful, and we cannot say enough about Kevin & Deb's amazing hospitality.

We stayed in a Cedarbrook Cottage (request #5, it has the best view!), which is fully appointed with everything you'll need in the kitchen, plus a super-romantic wood-burning fireplace. The rest of the cottage was extremely comfortable and nicely laid out. Our front deck was covered in concord grape vines, which gave us lots of shade (which was welcome in 35'C weather!). We were worried about the heat, and so brought our own fan, which was ultimately unnecessary. The area cools down comfortably at night, and we were never in want of air conditioning. 

The rest of the resort was absolutely gorgeous, with fruit trees and bushes lining each unit and an orchard. We picked raspberries off the bush outside our cabin and fresh cherries out of the orchard nearly every day; it was such a treat! Wing Creek cuts through the middle of the property, and can be heard all over the resort. It is lovely to sit on your deck in the evening and listen to the trickle of the creek. The trail down to the beach is also lovely, with switchbacks through the delicious-smelling trees. Fair warning - the walk up is a bit steep, but it just makes you work for your time lazing in the sun on the beach. :)

Deb & Kevin, the owner-operators, go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. They even washed our bug-covered car shortly after we arrived. You can see all of the lovely touches they have added to the property, such as seating along the beach pathway in particularly beautiful places along the creek. They are wonderful to chat to, but also give everyone their privacy. 

I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a couples getaway. It is perfectly "away from it all", without being too remote. We will certainly be back for another visit - later in the season next time, so we can take advantage of all of the fruit trees! - Lee-Anne & Charlie

What a great experience at Wing Creek Resort.  The cabins are clean and very comfortable and the scenery is spectacular.  Nearby Kaslo downtown is very quaint and restaurants are nearby.  Sit on the porch, admire the scenery and listen to nothing more than a running stream.  Just wonderful!
