Excellent service and great mechanical expertise. We arrived late Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend and they were able to accommodate us and replace propellers our Tiara Sovereign by Sunday noon. Leslie came out to greet us when we arrived and the marina loaned us one of two cars to drive into town for staples. We would go out of our way to stay there again in our future travels

To Mr. House, I don't think your son told you the full story. You indeed have a wonderful son. He was NOT let go. We typically don't respond to personal matters publicly; however you posted this publicly instead of coming to us directly. Safety is our number one priority. Winter Harbor Marina is a fast paced environment and for the safety of all, we must have a measure of comfort to know that your son(or any employee)possesses the awareness necessary to work safely in and around heavy equipment and water. This unfortunately is something we can not foresee in the interview process. We noticed early in your sons 1st day that as friendly as he was, we did not feel comfortable that he would have the awareness to work safely in the yard or on the dock. We sadly felt it best he not work as a full-time/part-time summer staff. We did contact him and we did offer him 1 day a week and we would work with him to gain some experience and life skills. This would give him a chance to learn and he would not be under the pressure or pace that our regular summer staff would be under. If after a period of time we felt he could keep the pace and be safe we would be more than happy to discuss with your son staying on as seasonal staff. We said to think about it and call us back if he wanted the one day a week. We did not hear back from him. Mr. House, you have a great son and it certainly was not because we did not like him; it was a ultimately for his safety and we would never want him in harm's way. If you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact us directly. We hope over time you can understand. Sincerely, Leslie Winter Harbor Marina

The people that work there are less than friendly. Offered my high school junior son a job. I bought him the boat shoes and khaki shorts that they requested he wear. Filled out all the tax forms and paperwork. He worked there for 4 hours in which time three different people told him different ways to do the same job. He reported to work the next day and was told they didn't have enough work for him. He called later in the week to get confirmation of his work schedule and was let go. My son is on the honor roll and a hard worker. Kinda stinks they didn't really give him a chance. It was his first job and I don't believe they treated him fairly.
