In somewhat of an emergency I called our main vet–Mt. Airy Animal Hospital–and was put on hold. Following the emergency hold, they called back an hour later to inform me they could see my dog in 45 minutes. Yes, during an emergency. The appointment fee would be $85 to see her on short notice and additional fees for treatment were not included in the cost. It certainly wasn't the first time we've seen price-gouging and mistreatment from Mt. Airy Animal Hospital. 
While waiting for my vet to call back we  contacted Wissahickon Creek and they were compassionate, fast, and very helpful. They admitted my dog immediately, fixed the problem, and we were charged nominal $18 fee. The staff and technicians were extremely helpful and friendly and I highly recommend this clinic. Shopping around for a vet outside the limited choices in Mt. Airy is definitely worth it.

I so appreciate the care and accommodation of this office. I moved and thought I’d switch because it’s further away but I’m not going to do it. Every time I call I’m so pleased and so appreciate their service, kindness and willingness to see my cats last minute or cancel because the Cat is looking better. They have great hours too. Highly recommend.

When my dog was I'll they took very good care of him. Not over crowded. Friendly staff.

I just want everyone at Wissahickon Creek Vet that you are the best. I will only take my pets to you. You answer my questions. Your check-ups for my pets are thorough and you explain everything about my pet so I understand. I have recommended you to many people. I won't go anywhere else. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Growing up, we always sent our cats and dogs here and it was a so-so place (didn't know any different)... when we got a dog in 2014, it was a familiar place so I didn't bother looking elsewhere since the price also seemed reasonable. A couple years ago it got bought by a new owner, totally got renovated and the staff is INCREDIBLE. Our dog (now 3) is like our first kid, so last year when I met Dr. Meghan Gallagher, she spent such a great amount of time with her that it was as if I was sending my human children to their pediatrician. I was blown away by the service of this sweet doctor. It was not rushed, she answered my questions and genuinely cares about her job. Our dog has gotten into a LOT of trouble (stung by bees on the nose; jumped out third story window without so much of a limp; 2" woodchip stuck in her eye) but they are super helpful all the time. I even found out at my last visit this past week that they cut nails for free at the visit! Would highly recommend and as long as Dr. Gallagher is here, we'll be here!
