Also known as the Witch's Hat, the Prospect Park Water Tower is a tall, white, cylindrical base with a green cone "hat" at the top. You can walk up to the base of the tower. There are some small paths and trails in the woods around it that offer some stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline it's the highest point in the city. It's a neat, iconic place to visit but there's not a whole lot to do there. It is nice, quiet spot for a picnic and a beautiful place to watch the sun set. There is no admission fee or tickets.
Not sure what Google Maps thinks this location is. There's a great view from the overlook and the park is nice too.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Really amazing sunset spot! There's benches that allow you to see downtown Minneapolis as the sun sets :
I enjoy going here at night it's beautiful I like it during the day too but it's not as good one day I'm just gonna sit there and enjoy a sunset or rise
It’s a really cool place to watch the sunset as you can get an amazing view of the Minneapolis skyline. Also you can get to see the castle and enjoy the park.
It's good place but you can not go inside which was kinda bumming but other than that it was a cool place
Big underrated spot in Minneapolis! Park is decent size and happens to be the highest natural point in the city. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning! I love to do a walk from down by the river all the way to this park l, really gets the heart beating.
This is one of these spots for sunsets if you're on campus. I wish they had it open to go to the top more. The entire Prospect Park area is good for a walk or a bike ride, especially in the places that are by the river. This area is really super crowded and there's a little Park at the base of the tower that's good for a picnic.
Came injoyed wen I had Minnesota's girl sunsite nightsky lights lite
Tranquil, at least while I was there, only time I've been. Fall colors were absolutely gorgeous and was so quiet being just off University Ave. The neighborhood it's in is visually captivating as well as the view from the top of the hill.
