The Explorer Post is composed of young adults between the ages of 15 to 20, who are interested in a career in law enforcement.
The Wood County Explorer Post is an extension of the Boy Scouts and is chartered under the Erie Shores Council Division. The Explorer Post trains young adults ages 15-21 in several different areas of Law Enforcement such as to traffic control, laws of arrest, and proper communication skills.
We look forward to future upcoming events in Wood County. Should you know anyone who is interested in the Explorer Post, please contact the DARE/School Resource Deputy at the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
Why Should You Become An Explorer?
You will get the chance to gain hands on experience in law enforcement and have the opportunity to work with Sheriff Deputies and Police Officers from many different agencies while learning all about the different areas of law enforcement work and getting involved in the community.
