It was too expensive for the portion and the quality of the food. The restaurant appears to be focused on wines. However, I don't drink. So the prices for the foods were ridiculous.Food: 2/5
Here’s the thing. This place is good. Great even. But their prices have gotten WILD. $26 for a ~6 slice Margherita pizza? I get inflation is upon us, but you can find great Neapolitan style pizza for $10 less. On top of the 4% healthy LA surcharge and 23% gratuity for parties of 6, you’re not getting out of here for less than $50 a person… can’t recommend anymore. But if you go the spaghetti squash is worth it.
Nicely crispy and tasty brick oven pizza. Large portion Caesar salad. Both the salad and pizza were enough for two. Beer was pricey and better going with wine.Food: 5/5
wood is a very small intimate little spot in silver lake area. service was very good throughout the night, I was impressed by how helpful they were. first impression was right when walking in you're greeted! felt very welcoming. seating inside is limited we made a reservation but it does appear to have lots of seating outside. we ordered the truffle pizza, meatball pasta & the carbonara. the truffle pizza was the best thing we got. cheese was so fresh! we were shocked. The pasta were good, nothing crazy! but the price was very high in my opinion for the amount you're getting. In total for 3 food items & 3 drinks a beer & 2 wines it was around $170. Which seemed high to be. the truffle pizza would be the reason I go back and try other items!
This is a nice spot with really good food. They often have a wait if you go at typical meal times but they do take reservations. The pizzas are exceptional. The Khachapuri is not offered a lot of places but when it is would be hard to beat this one. If you like bread, cheese, and a runny yolk this pizza is a must. The caeser salad is good to share. The staff is always nice and helpful. They also have a good deal in the early afternoons especially for take out. Definitely will keep coming back. Parking: There is a tiny 6ish car and awkwardly shaped lot. That has one way in and one way out. If you go out the in you will likely bottom out. There is street parking but it is usually pretty crowded.
The food was very good. I commend the owners for keeping their menu and beverage list small and then excelling at what they offer. My only cut on this restaurant was the odor inside. It smelled of cleaning fluids or toilet mints - very strongly. Otherwise, this was a very enjoyable dinner
By far one of the best carbonara pastas ! The handmade noodles make such a big difference. And the pancetta with the egg yolk had such bold flavors and was so creamy.
I was a little surprised by the prices of the pasta a little on the higher side, but I guess with inflation everything is a lot more expensive. Pizza was good. Portion for the pasta was a bit small. But the favorite was the banana cream pie. Don’t sit near the restrooms! The smell is pretty strong
Place is nice and clean but I'd it was a solid good. Staff could be a bit more attentive but know, it's quite an expensive place. $30 for the pizza in the pic, with about 7 slices of mushroom is insane dare I say, rip-off?! You get the same Neapolitan pizza elsewhere for about half the price so I'd say look elsewhere too.
A good pizza and pasta joint in Silverlake. Inside has some tables. The patio is nice too. Got the sausage pizza and carbonara and they were good. Decent service. There's street parking or a small lot in the back.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
