Took my daughter and my friends daughter to the Eclipse Party today. We arrived a little after 1pm the event was scheduled for 2 pm. We waited in line until the presentation started. The room was too crowded people were still lined up in the hall way. The guest speaker was very knowledgeable however it was hard to hear her at times. Due to the noise in the hallway. We were told that you had to sit through the event to get the glasses when we first arrived. During the presentation it was said that we had to share the glasses in groups. We were part of the first group to do the presentation and activity. While the girls were doing the activity I went outside to get the glasses. The person giving them out told me I had to come from the library and I told her the girls were doing the activity. She said I had to wait for them to finish. Somehow now we were part of the 3rd group.They finally finish and we go outside and the same person has about 10 glasses in her hands. We approach her and I told her they finished the activity her response " well okay" in a sarcastic way and walks away from us. We follow her and she gives the glasses out to other people in front of the girls. I never experienced such rudeness at the Woodbury Library. What made it even worse was other people who were outside that we could see from the windows waiting did not participate in the event and still were able to use the glasses. Some people were even walking away with them and not returning them like they were asked to. This was supposed to have been a great experience which only upset the girls. There was no consistency and fairness with their process. I felt the behavior of the person handing out the glasses was very SELECTIVE and UNFAIR. We probably won't be back to the Woodbury Library. Even though I'm a home owner here I will drive to another Library. In Disbelief I had to pay $20.00 for a pair so they can experience the whole Eclipse.
