We shop there this afternoon. To buy Decicated Coconut. Items were added to our purchase that was not ours. Item left on the counter was included in our purchase. 1 Chicken Samosa, 1 Cheese Beef Patties. And a Biscuit. Please be careful next time. I think this is wrong. Paying for items you did not pick and have no use for.
Great customer service. My mom was in town visiting and needed several items for dinner. We found everything we needed and many more. The young man with the beard at the check out counter was very polite. He even spoke to my mother in our native language and gave her a blessing. She was very happy and this made her day. Thank you!
They have all kind of species that Nepalese use. They are located on good location. They even serve you lunch set like biryani, samosa, samosa chat. They have good food. The speciality of this store is halal meat. They have nice and clean place to cut the meat into pieces. They have lots of stuff in the store, but if you are about to buy stuff here make sure check the date on it...
Avoid this place. I've put up with their rudeness and prejudice; making my daughter produce ID to PROVE her last name because she's only half Indian. But I went in yesterday to buy pita pockets. The first package we picked up, we noticed at the register, had mold on it. My daughter went back and got another package from the back and made sure it was not out of date. In fact, we bought it September 28 and it was marked to expire October 13, 2019. We went to eat it today - the next day- and you can see in the picture it's green with mold. Yuk! We will be looking for a new grocery store.
I have ordered meat from here on 2 times, and will never shop here again. I asked for the meat I ordered to be cut in very thin strips and both times I got my chicken cut into thick strips. The second time I went back to the butcher and told him to fix it. All of sudden he pretended to not understand me, then after explaining it Further he argued that this was thin strips. No it wasn’t. So he took the chicken back to cut but he had very upset about it. Terrible customer service. He made me very uncomfortable. He still didn’t cut it the way I asked and at that point it was a lost cause. Then at the register while paying for this terribly cut chicken, I asked the employee if they sell a specific brand of whole wheat flour, showing him photos. It was an organic brand. He failed to understand what I asked and said yea we have a lot of whole wheat flour in the back. I said no, I need this brand that says organic, and he started laughing at me and shook his head saying no. Very rude. I moved here from out of state, and my previous butcher/halal store was amazing. Very knowledgeable in the cuts of meats and how to properly sell them. Not like this place here. I assumed that Houston would have many amazing halal meat stores because of an abundance of Muslims here but was I wrong.
Only go their for the Hyderabdi bahi One for uncle wd Glasess & The Kamari Karachi cook Service is good helping people there in Ramadan if any is late for after they insist on staying and serve agayei and pray namaz wd Jamt Mostly in desi worker are good but owner had some rule that result in old food , expire food Etc etc Allah know better if it thier fault or not but they also good in service can’t denied . Grocery store : Meat market is good expensive cz it tahir chicken. Everywhere is a risk that meat can be old but here yes it’s good most of time 8/10 time fresh meat guaranteed. Compare to other shops . Other stuff is mixed better price and fresh also sometime mid price depend what u buy . RESTURANT Togo only : Bad: 3/5 Price are very good in food but sometime changes depend who is the cashier. Briyani is delicious but this is correct sometime come old very old Biryani. Karahai , qorma , butter chicken is the mainly I know Their people love that too . GOOD food : 5/5 Yes they have authentic Pakistani food in catering Mainly : Their seek kabab roll is better always best Samosa 1.25 $ each better in taste Their Briyani , Kabab roll , & samosa guaranteed tasty& better taste than tempura & kabab corner . Best Pakistani naan in town . Last time was better and deliciousness
I try to avoid this store. Prices on the shelves do not match what you pay at the counter.
Won't go back again. Went once. Chicken tenders we labelled as chicken breasts and was sold as such when asked. Butcher seemes questionable. Old man at the counter was rude. Can't understand why the halal stores always have an attitude. Hardly Islamic behavoiur especially for elderly. Went to another one at Spring and they're just as bad with customer service. It's embarassing. will not go again to either and definitely spreading the word to people we know.
My first visit there after seeing some reviews to buy fresh raw goat meat. Very disappointed. Rather than mixed meat, I got mostly ribs with little meat and some bones with hardly any meat. Cost me $15:75. Never again will I buy meat from there. As for their spices, lot of selection,, but most are not priced, some are stocked in wrong places
This Indiani/Pakistani grocery store has a lot of variety in packaged food, along with a small restaurant that’s for take out only. I haven’t tried the restaurant food so can’t comment there. The reason for my rating is the employees disregard for others by not wearing masks. They have a sign outside that states a mask is required, but in my previous 6 visits, they either don’t wear a mask, or have it on their chin why even bother?. This is inadequate and show lack of care for customers.
