Story

Currently, shoppers access Woodman’s stores all the way from Green Bay, WI to the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois. Customers rely exclusively on Woodman’s stores for their grocery needs, and there is good reason why. Woodman’s offers huge variety and much lower prices than these other grocery stores and super box operators. In addition to grocery items, Woodman’s stores also feature huge, extremely well-stocked liquor stores, discount gas stations, oil change centers and car washes. Every time I shop here I have items ring wrong prices. I pay attention, but how about those who don't?  My order today would have been almost 5 dollars higher if I hadn't stopped and gotten thing corrected.  You only have to screw a hundred people a day like that to have it add up to a pretty good pile of change.

11/26/17 - As a follow up - I stopped yesterday and to pick up more of an item that rang the wrong price a week ago. Guess what? After talking to them about it last week it was still wrong. Talked to the guy at the customer service counter - he refunded the difference without asking what the product was or anything. They don't care if they screw their customer as long as those extra dollars keep funneling in.

I love Woodman's and their prices.  I don't love that they are putting in so many self serve registers.  They take longer and personally I like to talk to the cashier.  I do t want to do my own scanning. Most people over 60 or 70 don't want to do the scanning and bagging either.  Put some regular registers back at the South end of the store!!!!!

Wonderful selection of items.  If  they don't have it,  you don't really need it.  Store is huge,  though,  so not the place to run into for just a few items.  Tiled floor in some areas is a cart-wobbler, and the checkout area is crowded.  Open 24 hours,  which brings me to my real tip: If you can't sleep,  go there in the middle of the night sometime.  When I did a couple of weeks ago,  I  was the only customer in the  store for a while.  The folks who work the night shift couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.  (If you're reading this,  management,  please let them know I said so.) Highly recommended!

I really enjoy my weekly trips to Woodmans. They have a great selection of Kombucha tea from several vendors. I do 90% of my grocery shopping here and I am able to abide by my grocery budget. They have the lowest prices on dog food and I can usually find everything I need in one place. Early mornings are the best time to visit and the parking lot is massive so there is never a problem trying to find parking.
