Woodman's was founded in 1919. The Waukesha store location opened in June of 2013.

Story

Woodman’s Markets are a fresh change from the super box multi-product stores like Wal-Mart and Meijer and the national grocery chains like Dominick’s, Jewel, and Pick n’Save. Currently, shoppers access Woodman’s stores all the way from Green Bay, WI to the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois. Customers rely exclusively on Woodman’s stores for their grocery needs, and there is good reason why. Woodman’s offers huge variety and much lower prices than these other grocery stores and super box operators. In addition to grocery items, Woodman’s stores also feature huge, extremely well-stocked liquor stores, discount gas stations, oil change centers and car washes. This makes Woodman’s a convenient one-stop, grocery-shopping destination.

They. Have. Everything!! I love Woodman's so freaking much. I live out of state now and whenever I visit I come to Woodman's to stock up on items I can't get anywhere else, or that are MUCH less expensive than at other stores. Granted, I'm a grocery store nerd and would totally spend my free time exploring all the items (especially the organic items) they have. Can you all please open a store in Louisville!?

Prices are great selection is massive. Almost overwhelming.  Each department has a bin with discounted items.  I.E. Ground sirloin is going over date in the meat department tomorrow it's frozen and put in a discount bin and sold at a deep discount.  Large produce section, liquor store, pizza sold ready to eat on site. Sushi made on site.  No credit cards.  Debit and cash.  Between this place and aldi you can find everything you need and save a fortune.

Always a huge selection of any item I'm looking for. Fast checkers and they always have a bagger which is great! The employees are really nice. I've done online grocery shopping and it too was amazing. They picked out the best fruits and vegetables and meats. My orders were always correct and they do an excellent job of packing them in my car.

The food varieties is excellent and prices are competitive! Just some of the shoppers can be rude.  They don't want to wait for me packing my groceries.  I am very quick.  Some are impatient and start scanning their items which comes down the conveyor with my items.  When they are approached kindly, they become angry.  One guy walked in front of me and stated "F" you! I now try to go in the mornings and haven't had any problems.😊

Massive selections on everything. Pricing is great we save money here vs other local grocery stores. Friendly staff, huge liquor department with very good beer choices. I wish the produce was better. Often it is hard to find average fruits and vegetables that are not bruised or beat up.
