The pictures don't do it justice: It's a very nice place with a cozy feel. We all liked the food and my vegetarian parents raved about the veggie burger. It was a good find... and I appreciated the reviews here that lead to it.

Good "Down home" cooking. I didn't try any dessert, but there is a board listing all the home made pastries, like peach pie, plum cobbler, a layer cake with pineapple and pecans. This is not a place to go for low cal, but my friend had a chef salad that was iceberg lettuce, but fresh and tasty. Service was pleasant and quick. I might go back to try a dessert, or banana bread or zucchini bread french toast.

Wonderful diner classics. No fuss, simple place but very very good food and great service. Cheap too!

My wife and I lunched at Woods Creek Cafe on 5 August.  Our meal was excellent.  It was the staff's friendly, personal, caring service that most impressed me.  One heartening example.  When a couple with their 5 year old son rose to leave, their server stopped them and said, “You can’t leave yet, this young man must first select his prize from our grab bag.  She brought out a small pail filled with pieces of individually wrapped candy.  Then, with the parents’ approval, she coached the boy about his choices.  The boy selected a lollipop.  Mom, Dad, the boy, their server, and I all had smiles on our faces when the family departed.

Very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Good was delicious and great portions. The menu had a variety of choices and reasonable prices.
The chicken fried steak sandwich was very good. If in town you must stop by.
