Located a short horse-drawn carriage ride into the wooded interior of Mackinac Island. The opulent Tudor mansion loaded with Bavarian charm provides for a delightfully casual dining experience. Absolutely delicious food.  My husband had a prime rib and he said it was wonderful, tasty and cooked to perfection.  I had the Whitefish fillet that was outstanding.  The best I've ever had.   Our waiter was very friendly.  I casually mentioned it was our 50th wedding anniversary and our waiter remembered and after our meal he brought us a delicious chocolate dessert that was outstanding with a candle on it.  We highly recommend the Woods Restaurant.

Excellent food with wonderful service.  Highly recommend for everyone to try.

Enjoyed the service (it was excellent) and the food was great.  Upscale yet cozy.  Well worth the trip out there.  BTW, as someone else pointed out I would not walk.  My wife and I did bike but the weather was cool so we did not work up a sweat getting there.   But a carriage is the more elegant way to get there.
