I absolutely love this place. They do such a great job on preserving the buildings and have free tours every weekend. You will end up in the gift shop which is expected since they work on a donation basis (so please buy something, even if it's something little). They host events and talks throughout the year like a spooky Halloween walk, or Old Time Days where everyone gets dressed up. No I don't work there, just a fan!

Amazing! We arrived late, just after close. The security guard was shocked to see us (the parking lot was empty). We explained our quest and he graciously gave us a private tour of the cemetery -buried inside was Pio Pico. The site is amazing, the history is fantastic. This adjoins a large park so kids had fun running around as well.
