Wonders of the World Museum Santa Monica Whether you're a Los Angeles resident or just visiting, "Wonders of the World" is definitely a "must-see"! When I first visited the store, several years ago, I was totally amazed to find a fully articulated, fossilized Tortoise, and a Woolly Mammoth's tooth! As a collector I must say that this Store/Museum has some of the finest examples of Crystals, Minerals and Fossils that I have ever seen, and the store's owner, Henry Runge, is an expert in his profession and is somewhat of a modern-day "Indiana Jones", who has traveled the world in search of these natural treasures! Whether you're looking for a special gift, a conversation piece, unique home decorations, or are the most discerning collector, Wonders of the World has something for you!

Breath-taking store, limited hours ;-) Based on my 2-3 trips, few stores in LA can match this stores collection of stones, etc. My ONLY complaint is the limited hours – last time I checked they are not open on Sunday. Regardless, you must stop here when you want to ditch blood diamonds for gemstones. Owner is knowledgeable, wish he would hire help to keep store open in his absence.
