About

Let's Play! Let's Learn! Let's Imagine!

Inspiring children and families to learn through play for 21 years!

Story

Our Mission:
WOW! Children's Museum engages all families in educational, hands-on experiences that connect curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

What We Do:

We Inspire Learning – We believe in the power of play! The social and cognitive skills learned at a very young age lay the foundation for acquiring important skills later in life. Our interactive, hands-on exhibits allow children to explore, create, inquire, and discover, helping them develop critical thinking, problem-solving and physical skills.

We Enhance Education – We love math and science, and we help kids love it too! Our drop-in science programs make science accessible to children as young as 18 months. For older children, we bring hands-on science education directly to the classroom, or provide it here through Museum field trips. Sparking an early interest in math and science is critical to developing science-savvy adults.

We Connect Community – We help make memories! We connect children to caregivers, families to families, and people to the place we live. By working with local musicians, artists, educators, and storytellers, we’re connecting children with the rich resources available in our community, and helping teach them about their world.

Mission

WOW! Children’s Museum engages all families in educational, hands-on experiences that connect curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

It's great for toddlers, not so great for infants! I was hoping they'd have an area for my 7 month to explore, but there's too many toddlers running around for the small ones! It is also not the cleanest museum, it is very fun down and the toys are really dirty. Parents don't really pay attention to their kids, it was a little chaotic even during a week day. We stayed for 20 minutes and left, I didn't want my 7 month old touching anything! I would rather make the drive to the Denver Children's Museum.

We are members here, or should I say, the kids are. I love that concept - the kids are the members at the CHILDREN's museum so they can go with any adult - grandparents, babysitters...My kids have been going here once a week for probably 3 years. While they gravitate towards the same exhibits, some times they tap dance, sometimes they put on a play, sometimes the play doctor and sometimes they focus on the pirate ship. I agree the bathrooms are stinky but not sure what else you can do...there are kiddos with diapers there! Love this local gem!

Geared towards the younger for sure. My 5yo girl enjoyed most everything. The items that my 8 & 9yo boys were intrigued by were few. They still had fun and that's always a good thing. Would have been nice for staff to be less on their cell phones and more present in making sure areas were stocked, functional and offering an educational element. For $9 a kiddo, I believe that is a fair expectation.

Such a great place! We were not planning on going but our 19 month old didn't take a nap after a hike. So we thought "why not check it out" and we were not disappointed. Every room was exciting and fun! Stayed for about 3 hours! Definitely check this place out!!

Our kids enjoyed it very much. It's definitely a place for much smaller kids as anyone over 6 or 7 would probably be bored. I don't think you can say it's a all day kind of place but a few hours would be worth the money. They did have a number of activities and stations so we were able to keep our kids engaged the whole time.
