The Wyoming Police Department/Wyoming 62A-District court is nothing but a front for stealing money from working-class people who can least afford it. All that matters is how much money they can steal from the defendant. They are WAITING for the next scenario to happen so they can line their pockets. The more crime/havoc/chaos on the streets: THE MORE REVENUE they get. They are here to provide the least care necessary to keep people alive & make as much money as possible. They are not a public safety organization, they are a BUSINESS: plain & simple. I had a ticket for rolling a stop sign (yes it was against the law, but there were no cars coming either way for MILES) & our tax dollars at work allowed them to station a cop waiting down the road on this snowy night just waiting for someone to not come to a TOTAL stop. Yes I slowed down considerably & looked all ways, but my car was not 100% stopped to their liking. The next week at court I became SICK seeing the judge typing away like a stenographer on his "adding machine" (a calculator with a print spooler attached for adding large amounts of data & equations). Before I was called up there were dozens of people called before me & the 1st person stood in front of the judge & as the defendant stood there the judge did not listen to one word of the defendant's side of the story or took any exigent circumstances into consideration. The judge was adding an insane amount of fines for VERY MINOR offenses, which they may or may not be guilty of. IN THE USA YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. The police, judges, courts, every employee in a court/district office/probation department office/probation or parole officer/etc. etc., are all part of the PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. They could care less about who is guilty or innocent, & justice is NOT blind! They do not want to rehabilitate, they want REPEAT business just like any other business. They are the definition of a business & do not want to rehabilitate people, but create a revolving door of criminals to keep the cash flowing. It is cheaper for the accused to enter a plea bargain for a crime they did not commit than it is to hire a lawyer & defend their innocence. This is by DESIGN, the more conviction rates a prosecutor has, the easier it is for them to climb the ladder and get promotions. The Judge's conviction rates, police arrest records, probation/parole fines, on & on, etc. etc., benefit the ENTIRE Prison Industrial Complex & they do not care about guilty, innocence, or public safety. A plea bargain for something the accused is 100% innocent of counts as a POSITIVE CONVICTION RATE for the court, judge, and prosecutor. I had no $ for the charge that I had that allowed me to witness this & chose a court appointed attorney. I overheard my "attorney" & prosecutor talking about how much money they were going to "get out of me" at their next golf outing. They all know each other & it is CRIMINAL at worst & a total conflict of interest at best. Yes, there are criminals out there that do bad stuff, but one of the career criminals in front of me at court got RELEASED because he paid a $8,500 fine with his drug money. The next person was a single dad never had a crime in his life received a 90-day jail sentence because he couldn't pay his fines on time after his dog got loose & he didn't have the money to pay animal control for picking up his dog when he never asked them to. The Gang of Blue Bloods & Brown Robes have the potential to become the biggest threat to community safety. They TURN innocent people into criminals & turn low-level criminals into career criminals. You Lawyers need get your jelly spines fixed & stand up for the people. Create a FAIR & equal society where people who don't have the money to pay a damn speeding ticket don't get their license taken away, lose their job, & have their entire lives destroyed for a small ticket while sex offenders, molesters, while-collar /CEO thugs, & other career criminals get a slap on the wrist.
