The Wytheville Community Center has a variety of areas that holds something for everyone whether you want to get fit in our 400 square feet Cardio and Weight Center, take a dip in one of the pools in the Aquatics Center that has a 6 lane 25 yard pool, water park play area with slide, therapy pool and hot tub, test your skills on the indoor climbing wall, hang out in the youth/teen center, shoot a game of hoops in one of our two full court basketball gyms, take a class in our aerobic studio, take a walk on our 1/8 mile walking track or just socialize in our adult/senior lounge.

The Wytheville Community Center also has 3 multipurpose rooms for programs and are also available to rent. In addition the following may be rented by groups; indoor swimming pool, teen center, climbing wall or ask about our "Party Package" for those special days for a goup of friends to have an adventure.

The McWane Pool is our outdoor pool located on Monroe Street and is open during the summer only. The McWane Pool is open to public swim and for private pool rentals.

McWane Shelter and Elizabeth Brown Shelter are available for rent.

Very nice facility...very poor service. I pay for the highest level membership and forgot my pass just one time. I asked to be checked in once as an exception using my drivers license and the woman at front desk refused to do so stating that there is a mandatory entry fee without my pass and that it was IMPOSSIBLE to make an exception. That's funny because I have personally witnessed such an exception being made MANY times for others. It sounds like it wouldn't be a big deal, but I live 25 minutes from the facility...the way the woman at the front desk handled it was simply rude.

The facilities are very nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were visiting from out of town and my wife wanted to work out and I had some paperwork to look over and was going to wait for her. However, they require a day pass even to sit and wait in the facility for someone else.

This community center has a rock climbing wall, walking track,  pool, sauna, kids play area, fitness center, basketball/raquetball courts, and work out gym. It also offers a variety of fitness/ aerobic classes and banquet halls that can be rented out for various occasions.

I am giving this facility 2 stars based on interaction with the staff. I have watched the front desk workers allow several different pass holders access to the facility with out having their facility issued passed. They simply asked the person name and verified their picture in the computer ( like most gyms do). However today, my friend was denied access because he left his facility pass at home and they were going to charge him a $5 fee, even though he is a monthly pass holder. The front desk refused to verify his membership with his account picture in the computer and insisted it was all in the paperwork we signed. I am just disappointed that not everyone is treated the same and the same policies are not followed by all staff members. The policy is stupid and needs to be change; why else take a picture and register in the first place?
