"Xi’an Famous Foods began as a 200 square foot basement stall in the Golden Shopping Mall in Flushing, NY. The original location, established in late 2005, was the first restaurant to bring the little-known cuisine of Xi’an to the United States. Since then, it’s become a beloved local fast-casual chain, with locations in New York’s Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens boroughs. As a family-owned business, Xi’an Famous Foods looks to reintroduce the world to the unique western Chinese cuisine of the founder’s hometown through some classic dishes: liang pi “cold-skin noodles," stewed pork burgers, wide hand-pulled “biang biang” noodles, and more, all in their most authentic forms based on family recipes."

These Xi-An hand pulled noodles were absolutely delicious. Honestly, when I first saw these noodles I felt I had a glimpse at heaven- the aromatic, deep, and flavorful stew augmented the entire experience. Would highly recommend; and DEFINITELY GET IT SPICY. With the beef spicy and tingly soup noodle I had jasmine tea which offset the spice perfectly. Overall, the preparation is fast and convenient   4.75/5

I really loved this place!!! A friend recommended it to me and stated that it was some of the best hand pulled noodles in NYC. The spicy cumin lamb noodles were her favorite, so I gave it a try.  The SAUCE!!!! So good. I loved the cumin flavoring and the strong spices going on. It's clear that the creator of the recipe Jason Wang valued the flavor in the spicy goodness. I got these mild and it was still packed with flavor. A slight vinegar flavor and tons of savory tones going on from the lamb. Everything just paired perfectly.  My only gripe about this place: the paper plates... Not sure if this is my fault for not mixing the noodles immediately when I received the food? - but just an FYI to anyone who is dining in. Look out for paper plate bits!

The service here is very good. I don’t like the bug thick noodles, I was wanting to buy the Liangpi but it was out of stock. ¥14 for a bowl Average bug thick noodles.Food: 3/5

I was thoroughly impressed with the service and food at Xian famous food here. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. As for the food, the spicy beef noodle soup was simply outstanding. The flavors were authentic and rich, with tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles that left me wanting more. I highly recommend!

Delicious hand pulled Chinese noodles in NYC! This restaurant has multiple locations for good reason. Amazing flavours of Xi’an that is unique to their own. Love the spices and aroma of this restaurant. We ordered the pork and the cumin lamb noodles which were both so delicious. Portion sizes were also incredibly generous as we had leftovers to go. Fair prices and an especially comfortable dining area that was clean and organized. Very impressed!

A great place for some spicy Chinese dishes!  It was my first time trying the food at this chain.  Each dish was bursting with flavor and spices. The spicy oil was robust and bold, but I think it could have been spicier.  The lamb burger was great but, for me, it was a bit dry. Either the bun needs to be softer or there should be a fattier cut of lamb.  Would love to try other locations and menu items!

Food was much worst than other two chain they have: - Very plain, no sesame sauce on it - not very authentic, waste of money - No flavor in the hot oil - burger don’t have scallion or cucumber in there was very disappointed on the texture  and flavor. - server don’t  want to give paper plate for us to share  - texture of noodle was good, but flavor less Definitely provide much lower quality food and service, likely get customer due to their location. Not recommended to eat here.

They opened up a new shop in Flushing. It is located on the first floor of the Tangram shopping mall. It is a clean, modern location that provides the classic dishes that made Xian Famous Foods such a popular restaurant.  Mostly self-service similar to the other locations. They have a self order and pay station that is pretty easy to use. It was convenient to order and pay. The prices have been going up from what I remember. They have a good amount of seats available.  The food was delicious. We got the Pork Noodle dish, the Spicy Cumin Lamb Noodle and the Pork and Chive Dumplings. I don’t like numbing spice so I mostly ate the pork and dumplings. And of course the pulled noodles were fresh and had great texture.

Absolutely loved the spicy seitan salad from this place. The flavors were incredible, and the service was top-notch. Definitely a five-star experience. Will come next time.Food: 5/5
