Story

Yak Academy offers Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, and french immersion programs for children ages 1-10. Programs include weekly enrichment classes, half-day preschool, and week-long summer camps.

Both my son's has have been attending the Yak Academy for the past several years. They have a great foundation of the spanish language and they are very good on encouraging them to speak spanish. They offer great camps which my kids love and a great place to send them when they are off from their regular school. The staff is very loving and caring and just overall an amazing place that my kids love.

We moved our daughter from a local preschool to YAK Academy 3 days a week for Spanish Immersion Preschool, and we could not be happier we did. Every time my wife or I picks up my daughter, she is so happy, and we comment on how wonderful all the teachers are. They make learning a new language so much fun! Our 7 year old also takes an after school class 1 day a week, and believe it or not, he actually looks forward to spending 2 hours after school at Yak Academy. They care about kids, and it shows on the faces of all the kids!

I can't say enough about how phenomenal Yak Academy has been for my children. When Hermosa Beach decided on half day kinder we turned to Blanca and her staff and they have been amazing in regards to my daughter's language education and meeting my daughter's emotional needs. Kinder is a rough transition in regards to the rigid structure and the work load. My daughter has experienced at Yak Academy that learning can also be fun. As for my younger daughter, she feels safe and comfortable with the staff...and loves the teaching style and the other children.

My daughter started going to Yak Academy 2 months ago. It has been difficult to find a good Mandarin School here in the South Bay. I am very happy to have my daughter attend mandarin class here. From her first class on a Saturday morning, she enjoyed the interaction with her teacher and her classmates. The class has a theme each week to learn chinese words through play -sing, art and story telling. Each week, she comes out of class smiling and showing me her finished art.

Very attentive teachers and staff. We took the free trial out lesson for Mandarin on Saturday for my four year old son and has been coming here for over a year. Director of the place Blanca is very resourceful in organizing all kinds of family activities and we really enjoy coming ! We live in Culver City and are happily in the car every Saturday morning to the Mandarin class !
