Great little airport that saves you a 3+  hour drive from Denver to Steamboat.  This airport is in the middle of nowhere and is very small.  Steps are rolled up to the plane to get off and there are only 5 departure/arrival bays.   They had our rental car waiting and it was only a 30 min ride to steamboat.  I would use this airport again.

Steamboat Airport has such an amazingly qualified staff. Many are working there for the travel perks. They are helpful friendly and really want you to have a good experience.

Nice people, but no TSA Precheck lane.  Very inconvenient when the airport is busy.

This airport itself is pretty decent, and the people are truly wonderful.  

However, their flights are delayed very often so be prepared.  Seriously terrible, especially on United.

Want a beer at the bar... $8.  Nothing is cheap here...

Also, their parking payment machines are complete and total pieces of junk.  If they don't read your card right the first time, you get error after error.  The trick is to cancel the transaction and start over which they don't tell you.  You have to "guess" it.  Seriously frustrating to deal with.  There are constantly lines to get out because the machines malfunction.
