Prepare to be treated horribly by town hall employees who clearly hate their job. I tried to register a new business and was treated like absolute trash both times I had to go in by the woman at the permits window old, tall brunette both times she looked at me and made me wait 10-15 minutes before she finally rolled her eyes and asked if I needed help. She demanded to know my business name, address, what it was, what I was going to do with it and then said I wouldn’t be approved. She made me give her 2 forms of ID, and my EIN paperwork. She gave the form to fill out and told me what to do. When it was approved for I asked what I needed when I came to pick it up and was told nothing except the fee. I went in and was told I needed the paperwork again, I said I gave it to you already, she said she threw it out because she figured I’d get denied. This town claims they’re friendly to small businesses, they absolutely are not!! The employees are absolutely miserable and think they’re better than the tax payers that pay their salaries. Sadly, I’m a Yarmouth town employee and I’m disgusted by this town.
The insulation in our finished basement was found to be r13 not r15 which they don't even sell. The building commissioner mark Grylls ruled that the entire finished basement needs to be destroyed and the insulation upgraded. This kind of absurd overreach which obviously serves no purpose must end! So now our tax dollars go to paying for litigation... against our own taxpayers!?
Went there to try to get a replacement beach sticker because I can’t remember where I put the initial one. The lady at the desk had an attitude and unwilling to help. She required me to have my registration card but I didn’t have it at the time. I tried to pull out an email with online prove of purchase but she didn’t even want to bother to look and insisted the only way to look up is the registration card. No customer service at all and acted like everyone owes her, this miserable lady needs to retire or get a life! Yarmouth Town Hall, please find a nicer person!
The lady that greeted me was very rude and rolled her eyes when I told her we talked to someone on the phone the day prior and they told us to come today in person. We were waiting almost 2 months for a disposal sticker and she wants to roll her eyes. Get real lady.
Just bought a house there and everyone in the Town is so friendly and helpful. I feel already home, Thank you guys, and keep up the good work and the great smile.
Okay, so you can save 5$ by buying dump/ slash stckers online, but there's a convenience fee ! Really! 4 dollars and change! What the hell are we saving? Get real! Only in Yarmouth Massachusetts!!!!!
My quick visit was fast, friendly, and took my last $200!! Always a good experience thanks to a great staff.
