It is very Danish place. Love the books and the settings. Super nice Danish gentleman, we had great time there. Thanks Olde.

Quaint private and quiet. Not your posh resort but worth the time for serenity and variety of things to see in town.

Gorgeous little gem hidden on the hills of Ferndale, Ca. Our family stopped here for one night during our trip around California and we all had a great time. It's a pleasure to wake up with deer in backyard and to see the children run happy on the nearby hill.

My wife and I decided to take a tour of the West Coast. Starting from San Francisco and driving our way into Seattle. It was an extraordinarily beautiful trip. One of the places that we stopped along the way was a little town called Ferndale, but more specifically the “Ye Olde Danish Inn”. The most important consideration in booking lodging for our trip was the view. I tried to make sure that every place we stopped offered a serene and relaxing view from our room. Ye Olde Danish Inn did not disappoint. Nestled on the side of a small hill the Inn offered a spectacular view of neighboring farmland on one side, while the other focused on the owners own small crops and orchards. From the vantage point of the second floor balcony, I could sit and listen to the natural sounds of the land around us while looking out a green pastures and distant equipment harvesting food from fertile soil. It was dreamlike. The interior of our room felt like home. Ample room for moving around, warm and cozy furnishings, and as it would turn out, the most comfortable bed during our entire trip! Ferndale is a dream of a town; a throwback to what America used to look like. Without exaggeration it is a place where deer can be seen roaming the streets without fear. There are handful of small shops and restaurants to keep you busy, if you’re into busy, or you could just sit and listen to what the world used to sound like. For my wife and I, the next time we stay in Ferndale, it will always be at the Ye Olde Danish Inn.

Absolutely amazing stay. So much so that we extended our trip a day just to stay longer! The hosts were gracious and attentive, and the apartment cozy and inviting. Wonderful accommodation!
