YMCA Camp Carter offers campers and guests the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and discover themselves.

Story

YMCA Camp Carter is a year round camp located minutes from downtown Fort Worth. It is located on over 300 wooded acres, with its own lake and waterfront access to the Trinity river.

Facilities available include our very own Equestrian center, which can offer
specialized horseback riding to all levels and a covered riding arena. Challenge course facilities including Rock Climbing, Big Swing, Zip Line and Carter's Leap of Faith. Swimming Pool with 3 slides, Athletic fields, Archery, Riflery, Skeet Shooting, Basketball Court, Soccer Field, Canoeing/Kayaking, Volleyball Court.

Our duplex cabins are air conditioned, each side has private shower and restroom facilities.

We also have conference facilities available including our Retreat Center which features it's own kitchen and restroom facilities with a water front view of Cottonwood Lake. Our office complex has a medium size room with wi-fi available.

Our camp programs include a Summer Overnight Camp and Day Camp, with various summer groups attending as well. Throughout the year we run Outdoor Education programs to local schools and groups - which includes Geology, Aquatic Studies and nature hikes.

We also run flexible year round retreats, from overnight groups, birthday parties, team building programs, school retreats and specialized sports groups such as football teams. Also our Equestrian Center and Challenge Course is available year round for booking.
