This is a fast food type restaurant. You pay, tip and then they call you to pick up your food. You will not get served. The food is a hit or miss. The saba shioyaki is not bad. The beef teriyaki has a good taste but texture is bad. It looks boiled or stir fried. The portions are very small. Be ready to order extra if you are hungry. You help yourself to ice or hot water outside. It’s a nice clean location to have a simple quick meal.
Yo! This sushi spot is consistently fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu and always provides great customer service. It’s a popular place , so expect a little wait- but it’s worth it
First time here. I loved the varity of rolls offered. Pretty fast service. The rolls were tasty and reasonably priced. So many choices that I had trouble picking, everything looked delicious. Ramen, rolls, edamame, california rolls, Philadelphia rolls, crunchy rolls, tempura etc...
Most food here are delicious. No Cali Sub Dragon had the perfect balance of avocado, unagi, deep fried prawn and rice. The side saba on the big platter looks and tasted bad. The Saba Shioyaki meal itself tasted better. Lion King rolls were yums. Will order that again. Poki was made in the basic style yet it’s fresh and delicious.
I enjoy the food here BUT today I witnessed some things that is making me rethink coming back. A young man in a black hat and a black warriors hoody was sent out to wash the windows... It became clear that he had never done this before OR he has but nobody checked his work and advised him how to do the job correctly. Now this can overlooked BUT what can't be is how he dealt with cleaning tables. Here's what happened: while wiping windows he was stopped stepped into a chair then onto the bar table against the window in order to plug in a cord to a ceiling outlet then step down and continued wiping very poorly mind you the windows. Then stopped again went to the back and came back with a cleaner and a white rag. He cleaned the table about as well as he did the windows... Poorly... Then used the rag that he cleaned his shoe print up with to wipe down the rest of the bar table...not good Then went back to wiping windows. He then returned to the back and this time returning with only the cleaner and the white cleaning rag and SAT DOWN at a table in order to wipe it down. I assume with the same white rag. I then saw him at the front area handling to go orders... Didn't see him wash his hands or change his gloves from previous cleaning tasks. I don't know if he was just lazy, uninformed, or what but it didn't make me feel good about how things get cleaned at yo sushi.
I was skeptical because I am really sensitive to fish products. Since summer I tried their chicken Katsu and my husband tried their fish and told me their sashimi and products were fresh. After tasting it, I started order there but today the maki deep fried I took were not fresh at all. First bite my tongue and mouth started to itch, which is the reaction I usually get when fish products are not fresh or not well conserved. A little bit disappointed.

Went back here for dine in after more than 1 year due to covid. Same great food! We ordered angry lion, lion sushi etc. Ordered more desserts! Will come back soon.
This place has some of the best sushi I've ever had. The crab mania roll is delicious!!! Along with the dragon roll. The yummy roll was pretty good as well. Angry Lion King roll was overbaked not shown the crab toppings were too much it was all falling apart kinda gross but I've had the regular Lion King before and it was FANTASTIC must have been a fluke. Overall Good tasting sushi from what I've experienced.
OMG I have been ordering from YoSushi periodically since they opened here in Glen Cove. Never again. As a treat my son and I ordered dinner from YoSushi tonight, what a disappointment. I had to recut some of my sashimi because it was not cut through. Other pieces were just too big. The tray was a mess, with everything including the pour excuse for a salad crammed into the same container. With so many good sushi places in Benicia I will never again order from Yo Sushi. I'm going to sign up for Yelp so that I can spread the word.
