If you are in the mood for sushi, this place is a good choice for that. The staff here was very nice and helpful. In both recent times we visited, we didn't have to wait to be seated. So that was a plus. The sushi here was very delicious. Definitely worth it!Food: 4/5
One of the best sushi spots in South Jersey. Always fresh, excellent quality seafood. Crafted with care. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating.Recommended dishesChicken Teriyaki, Sashimi Deluxe, Hot Sake, Wasabi Shumai, Fish, Filet Mignon & Shrimp, Chicken Katsu, Yellowtail Jalapeno, Spicy Tuna, Roll
Love this place! We take a 30 minute drive, at least once a month to come here. The best sushi, with the freshest ingredients, we’ve found in South Jersey. The drinks are always great. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.
Their curry udon and sushi rolls Dynamite roll, Sindy roll, New Island Spicy roll, Spicy Girl roll, and Love roll were delicious! My husband also relly enjoyed their Mai fried rice. The curry udon had a generous amount of shrimps and scallops and the broth was just right - it tasted like some of the curry udon I've eaten in Japan but with more luxury! I'd love to go back the next time I'm in the area! C:
I had made a reservation here about a week or so in advance for Valentines day night. They had pretty open availability from the time sheet I had to pick from. The food and service was great, the whole vibe was thrown off though because they kind of just shoved us/4 other parties into an empty hibachi room separated from the main restaurant. The grills were covered and it was its own separate room, so we just felt like we were extras thrown to the side. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of this place and wanted to experience a nice night out but we were basically stuck in a closed off square room in silence with 6 other people. They could have at least had the hibachis up and running with a chef in there.
We dined in on a bustling Thursday night. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive! Our food came out quickly. The sushi was fresh and delicious, appetizers and soup came out hot, and the ambiance was pleasant. We’ll be back for another date night!Food: 5/5
Favorite place for sushi/sashimi specials that you can't find at typical sushi restaurants. The best are the blue fin tuna, kampachi, king salmon, aji, kumamoto oyster, live scallops, and uni. Best enjoyed with a bottle of Shirakabe Gura Tokebetsu sake! Good variety of unique cocktails to enjoy. Hibachi entrees are also quite good. Great ambiance, bartenders and staff!
The food is not cooked in front of you like a traditional hibachi. It is made from the kitchen. We were not aware of this until after we were seated and had our drinks. The food was not great. Everything was rather dry because there was no sauce on anything. I eventually asked for teriyaki sauce to put on my food. The vegetables were the worst part. They were pretty much raw. Everything was also cold when it came out. Would not recommend for the hibachi food.
Went for the first time with some friends. I don't like sushi but they do. I decided to go to get some drinks. I like gin so I tried the Gin Cocktail they have. It was pretty dang great! I also had the Edamame and Beef Negimaki. It was a great snack to go with the drink for sure. Would definitely come back.
We recently dined at Yokohama, with high expectations, having heard much about their sushi and hibachi offerings. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of our hopes. Firstly, we felt that the service could have been more welcoming. Our waitress came across as cold and unwelcoming. This was off-putting to say the least and put a damper on our evening. Moreover, the most concerning part of our visit was the aftermath. Our entire party suffered from food poisoning following our meal, which was distressing and deeply disappointing. Given this experiences, we have decided not to return. We believe that customer service and food safety are paramount in the dining experience, and unfortunately, our visit did not meet these standards. Ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and, most importantly, serving safe food should be top priorities.
