Very lively, beautiful restaurant with solid food and drinks. We got the crispy sesame shrimp appetizer & scallops which were amazing, the lamb chops were seasoned very well and delicious and the salmon, which was good, but the other dishes were so good, it kind of made the salmon feel a bit standard, but if you love salmon, you may love it, too. The drinks were beautiful, too. The churro sundae was a perfect way to end our meal, so good! Presentation here is everything. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items!
We loved our waitress Noemi she was very kind and attentive to all her tables. Food is excellent!! Deff get the rigatoni! The steak was also very good, medium rare was better cooked than Craig’s for sure. I also recommend having the orange wine Thanks for the lovely vibes and food x
What a lovely dining experience. Hunter was a great server and took care of us, recommending things and being generally ebullient. The food was delicious and I would absolutely recommend the miso salmon, cooked perfectly. The bite of the night, though, was the Brussel sprouts with kimchi paste and golden raisins. Next level! Also, clean bathrooms with Aesop soap—LA baby! Parking: 15 dollar valet. No public parking otherwise look on the streets. Good luck.
I would say Atmosphere is the biggest reason why I love to come back here. Yes yes yes - food and service are great but atmosphere is To me this place remind me about Europe and specifically Greece islands with olive trees decorated with lights and warm LA breeze. Lovely combination you cannot resist.
Everyone has their own biases. Mine is having a deep appreciation for restaurants whose full kitchen stays open later than most of their peers on any given night. It's with that in mind that Ysabel hold a special place in my heart. Having grabbed a seat at the bar at 10:30pm on a Wednesday, you can imagine the sheer joy at being able to choose from the full menu. I went with the The shrimp and salmon and neither disappointed. Did I mention that Ysabel is beautiful. With an array of indoor and outdoor dining experiences, Ysabel has the flexibility to be ideal for anything from social to professional.
The atmosphere, ambiance, food and service are impeccable. If you want a luxorious, chill and quintessiential LA dinner, come to Ysabel. The food is delicious, we started with the Whipped Feta, a creamy, nutty dream complete with crispy bread to dip. For cocktails we got the popular must have, Cherry cocktail and tart Orchid cocktail. Cherry is preferred For our entries we got the Austrailian Lamp chops that were well cooked but we did expect more flavor. The side of truffle fries and broccolini made up for it. We were served by Dylan who was a wonderful server, very punctual and attentive. All and all, highly recommend, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a night out here.
I went here for a company dinner and got lost trying to find the entrance after we valeted the car. Once we walked in, I was impressed by the atmosphere, it was beautiful. The drinks were great. The food was okay but a lot of my coworkers weren't impressed. My lamb chops were really good but those who got the tomahawk said it was not good and for the price, you would expect the best. Parking: I highly recommend using valet.
Ysabel has always been a great scene to grab drinks, apps, and meet with friends. I finally went here for dinner after years and got the watermelon mocktail, whipped feta, wild mushroom risotto, and pan roasted salmon. All of the food was great, but the risotto could have used something more. It lacked something & wasn’t flavorful. The whipped feta was my favorite item we ordered. Otherwise the ambiance and service was great. Would definitely be back for drinks, but will pass on dinner.
Amazing!!!! The food was well-portioned and super yummy. Honestly, all the food was surprisingly good. Most notable was the flatbread and salmon carpaccio. The scallops are BOMB - super buttery melt-in-your-mouth. The risotto was a bit too rich and the lemon pasta seemed a bit plain, but that’s my only complaint. Our server was charismatic, funny and super nice. The atmosphere was fancy but chill. Highly recommend and would come back. $526 after tax and tips for 6 people.
I generally avoid giving a firm "no" to restaurants, but this one is an exception. Apart from the decent starter shrimp, it's excessively pricey for everything we ordered. Despite having reservations, the wait is prolonged. While the ambiance is appealing, the small table for our party of four led to cramped dining, creating an overall negative experience.
