The absolute worst food I've had delivered in NYC in as long as I can remember. I wish I had seen the negative reviews here because I agree with all that they're saying. This is certainly not Thai food, which my family loves. Instead it's like Chinese food with a little bit of Thai influence but everything is of extremely poor quality and just plain gross. The other person's review of the mango rice is spot-on. It wasn't just bad food, it was totally inedible. We placed an order of over $70 and when we called to complain they refused to give us a refund. I don't enjoy posting bad reviews but I really hope that no one else suffers like we did. Yummy Thai looks like it's a part of another restaurant next door that allegedly serves Chinese and Sushi. Stay away!
I have a gluten allergy and the staff are so, SO patient with me and my endless questions. I feel safe ordering from them knowing the level of care they put into making sure my allergy is accommodated, which most places do not. Thank you guys so much, I missed eating Thai food!Recommended dishesTom Yum Soup
I ordered the mango sticky rice.. and what came was a TON of rice drenched in a sweet soup with tiny cubes of mango, some pink fruit, and... raisins. This is nowhere near what mango sticky rice is. Also, they didn't even use sticky rice, this is regular ole hard grains of rice in a soup of milk. Disgusting.
i was a little concerned when my food arrived and it was a huge portion. worst thai basil ever had. extremely mushy with no flavor whatsoever . and not at all spicy. just a bland bowl of vegetable juice filled to the top .
I was headed home pretty late and had a taste for Thai. Yummy Thai was the only restaurant open at 9:30 PM on a Sunday. Even though the restaurant was closing, the hostess was still very kind and my order came out in 10 mins. I ordered the red curry chicken and the fried rice. The fried rice was decent, however, the red curry chicken had wayyyyy too much vegetables and not enough chicken. Not one of my favorites.
I ordered on Seamless, which had Yummy Thai's rating as perfect 5 out of 5; which is odd, because as I looked into it, there were MANY one star reviews that didn't seem to factor into their rating. I ordered Thai Iced Coffee, which was seemingly just some really basic iced cofee. I ordered the eggplant basil dish, which was not spicy, poorly cooked and seemed to be in some sort of very generic tasting Chinese food sauce, like general tso's or something; tasted VERY ketchupy. I also ordered fried oysters, which were pretty much fine, nothing to complain about there. Overall, this definitely didn't seem like Thai food at all, and seemed closer to low-end Chinese takeout. Really disappointing overall, and I would otherwise give 2 stars for the fried oysters, but the fact that they have a perfect 5 on Seamless when they have a ton of 1-star reviews compels me to give them 1 star. Also I'm unable to rate and review them on Seamless for whatever reason, but they do not deserve a 5 star rating; they obviously bought ratings and reviews
This is not Thai food… I ordered pad Thai and what I received was lo mein with crushed peanuts and lime. Hugely disappointing and strange.. not sure why they market themselves as a Thai place. Never been catfished by a restaurant before. Someone below called this a low quality Chinese restaurant pretending to be Thai, which is accurate. Pro: very cheap If you have a Thai craving, this place will leave you disappointed
This place deserves one dollar sign, not two like the listing shows. Very good prices for Thai food in Brooklyn, especially for the area. I would say the food is more like a 4/5 but I'm giving five stars for the value. Solid portion sizes too.
Ordered Tom kha gai not even close. Why do you put red curry paste in it ? Not Thai Not yummy . Did not taste any close to Tom kha gai Tomatoes slices in it WTAF? Are just making up your pan Asian food? If someone orders Thai food make the correct food. Your version of this soup totally sucks.
Decent, affordable Thai food. Great lunch specials that come with spring roll and choice of soup or salad. The Thai curries are really good, especially the green curry and the Pad Thai is another favorite. They use lots of fresh vegetables which I love and portion sizes are large.
