Will never call the police ever again. I am now armed and will shoot next time my home is broken into, burgerlerized, I catch the person in the act, and nothing's done about it between 3 officers, no statements from 2 witnesses, and nearly let the criminal drive off with about 7 rifles in their trunk that they took from my closet. They later dropped the charges I put against the person and I'm still in debt paying 2 attorneys and hospital bills from when the criminal ran me down with a vehicle that wasn't theirs. Had a report done against the officers mishandling the incident and never heard a word from the department after that detective spent the entire meeting trying to find holes in my story and yelling at me, bringing me to tears.
- This review was made over a year after the incident. I am still traumatized and fear for my life even with my Protective Order. That person tried to kill me and threatened to return. Being that they're also family, I'll now live in fear of them for the rest of my/their life. Maybe that's why the officers didn't take it seriously: because the person was related by blood but not affiliation (I don't speak to this member of my family because of THIS kind of history) to me. But that still doesn't explain not giving a nightcrawler's rear-end about my safety and the safety of the child living with me at the time who was here during the incident calling me for help.

Total disappointment in Zachary's police department! Our neighbors & I have been harassed & vehicles vandalized almost every night this week! We know exactly who suspect is. But the police said that they would NOT do anything unless we catch the suspect, on camera, while in the act. They also refused to sit on our road at night to try & catch him. I have pressed charges on people before, & I KNOW that they do NOT need a video in order for us to press charges; nor do they need a video in order to make an arrest! Especially when the suspect has 4 warrants already! And there are over 6 witnesses to these crimes! And we live on the street right next to police station! And they still refuse to serve & protect! Last I checked, it is their job to investigate crimes, & catch/arrest criminals! But yet, they refuse to do anything unless we (the victims) do everything for them! How ridiculous! . . .Cops say do not try & take matters into your own hands. They say to call them, & let them take care of it. But when we do, they refuse to do anything! So what choice do we have but to handle it ourselves?!?! Zachary police department - Refusing to serve & protect. . . .WHAT A JOKE! Complete unbelief in their carelessness & laziness!
