Lovely spot in Park Slope for a meal at any time of the day. A lot of things to like about Zatar! Service was excellent, had requested a table for a party of 5 and even though many members were significantly late, there was no complaints from staff. They were accommodating and waited until everyone arrived to take orders. We were even allowed to run down the street to grab some bottles of wine as Zatar is BYOB. Amazing! Food was served rather quickly, and everything was fresh and tasted well. Extensive dessert menu is available and I can say the Arabian Cheesecake is certainly worth a try. I was impressed. Overall, if you're looking for a Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern restaurant in a casual setting, check out Zatar Cafe & Bistro.
A must, order the veggie Middle Eastern Tacos ! The taco’s are gluten free corn and filled with veggies. The tacos looked great, they were flavorful and had a great soft texture. The sauce added a nice zangy taste. Also ordered the Zatar fries, the best fries in Brooklyn. Nice quick option for us gluten free and vegetarian eaters.Food: 5/5
I love the place. I have been there many, many times and almost always get the Salmon kebab, that comes with rice and salad. We also had the Arabic bowl with Salmon. The desserts are very yummy especially the kunefe. The meze Muhamara the red paste on the photo is absolutely to die for as well as the Humus-they are very different but if I have to chose one will be the Muhamara: This time we had Fruit cake and Eclere-both were yummy.
So. Good. Equivalent to the best hummus I’ve had it just tastes good quality. The salad that comes with the chicken kabob plate is amazing and the plate itself was so good. Perfectly cooked chicken basically everything here is amazing.Food: 5/5
First been here and I really like it! We had the falafel sandwich with fries it was delicious and hibiscus lemonade which it was super refreshing for a hot day like today. The place have a lot of indoor and super cute outdoor seating. Our waiter was super nice and friendly! I totally recommend this place and can’t wait to come back and try a few of the desserts which they look good and also the pastries!
Delightful meal in an equally inviting ambiance. The outdoor area was the perfect place to enjoy a shared meal during a warm summer evening. The portions were a good size to share and everything was delicious. We tried nachos, pita, hummus, muhammara, baba ghanoush, halloumi salad, chicken shawarma, kefta, falafel and fries — all delicious. Definitely recommend the nachos as a starter for the table. Also an excellent place to eat if spending time in Prospect Park, only a few blocks away. Vegetarian options: Can eat an entire vegetarian meal Dietary restrictions: Halal meat Vegan and vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Had a highchair
They had an amazing atmosphere, amazing food, great coffee and drinks, and amazing service. I would definitely return. A little gem close to Prospect park.Food: 5/5
We loved everything we ordered. We were only sorry we didn’t leave any room for one of their fabulous looking desserts! We will definitely have to return again very soon.Food: 5/5
Love this place. Food was delicious for all our dishes. The Zatar fries was freshly made and it was so crispy and absolutely delicious you have to wait for the best. The chicken kebab was moist and flavorful. The salmon kebab and white rice was cooked just right. Lamb chop was moist and delicious. My friend can't stop talking about it as she takes every bite. Falafel was crispy and pairs nicely with sauce. Strawberry lemonade and mint tea are my go to. Prices are reasonable. Service was good. I usually call ahead to check if they have tables available before going.
The food at Zatar Cafe & Bistro is elite. I claim that I May never experience any level of disappointment at this cozy establishment. The dessert options are insanely good. The coffee is delicious and some baristas make it more extravagant than the next. I can't wait to try their Chicken Kebabs.Food: 5/5
