My first time trying Caribbean style food. The jerk chicken was amazing with the rice and beans. The vegetable roll was even more delicious with the sweet chili sauce. I was very satisfied with my food. My partner got the jerk chicken bowl and he enjoyed his meal as well. Definitely would love to come back and try the other dishes.
Great atmosphere. Food was excellent. Wife and kids are generally picky and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.
Island Rum Punch, Dark & Stormy, Huli Hulu Chicken Nachos, Pulled Pork Hawaiian Nachos were fabulous! We will definitely be back!
99% of their food is gluten-free. I was impressed with the flavors. We tried the pulled pork nachos and the shrimp and rice with chili sauce. The service was wonderful. It was well worth the visit. I will be going back again. Thanks for the great service and wonderful food.Food: 5/5
The food was tasty and the service great. It was very quiet when we visited. Would love to go back on a night with a live band. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options marked on menu. Staff was knowledgeable and took great care of me.

Totally disappointed! My husband and I drove all the way from Illinois to experience this “ fine cuisine” based on the reviews. The server was nice. The menu was poor. I chose the grilled shrimp and rice and my husband chose the jerk chicken - let me just say this was no island food, the food was what you would order in a Mexican restaurant, the jerk chicken lacked flavor and the grilled shrimp was swimming in hot chili sauce. The yellow rice was tasteless and the Calypso Cole slaw tasted blah! The only thing Island about this place was the Reggae music. Our meal arrived quickly and it was just a big pile of food and salad all on one plate, the portions were too huge and a bit gross. My shrimp was cook to perfection so that was good. My husband’s chicken was just bland and tasteless , no jerk flavor whatsoever!!! The food got cold after the second bite. It was obvious that the rice was micro waved before serving. My Rum Punch drink lacked rum. We decided enough was enough! Took a take out box, so as not to show our distaste, and left shortly thereafter. Tossed the container as soon as we left the establishment. Will not return or recommend. If you are looking for authentic Island cuisine - This is not the place! Parking: The restaurant location and parking is good. We got a good 2-hour parking spot directly in front the restaurant.
I’ve been coming here for years and following them from location to location. They are at the top of my list when looking for Islander style food. I really can’t say enough good things about them. At this point I’d say I’ve tried almost all of their dishes and I don’t think I’ve had a bad one yet. The egg rolls are killer. The huli huli with a lot of heat is by far my favorite. You also can’t forget to try their punch when you go. If you haven’t checked them out, you definitely should. You won’t regret it!
seems very unorganized. Like nobody knows what their job should be. January 14th is date we came in 6pm. It was bland food we waited for like an hour and a half for our food. Was 30 minutes to even take our order. they ran out of rice. probably should look for new kitchen management And a floor manager. My wife says the bettendorf small store tastes better.
Its good. Stopped for a quick lunch before massage at Blackhawk hotel. Look forward to coming back on weekend with live music. Seems like a lively place. Right next to red room which also has the great live musical selections!!!
