This salon exceeded my expectations! A family friend had referred Zen to me recently after struggling to find a good nail salon this past year. Every salon I have gone to have been rude and I always felt rushed. I came in today in need of nail services done for me and my friends last minute right before closing and they took us in without hesitation. I’ve never been in a salon with staff so nice and kind and made me super comfortable. It was truly a relaxing atmosphere. I believe it is family owned so all the staff made it feel at ease in the shop joking and laughing. I didn’t feel like I was just at a nail salon getting my nails done. They took the time and did such a wonderful job with my nails. The best dip set in Murfreesboro! My friends pedicures were great and relaxing as well. They have a wide range of colors and even made suggestions to take care of my nails to make them stronger. The staff are very knowledgeable with the products and I definitely will be coming back. Thank you so much Zen!

The only reason I’m giving one star is because it won’t let me post if I don’t! No stars for me! Worst ever! DO NOT GO. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place!

My first experience at Zen Nails was great. I received great service and was very impressed with their work. So I thought I had found a trusted place that was close to home to get my powdered gel nails done. WRONG! Last night (9/5/17) I tried to get my nails done. There was only one customer so I was able to go straight to a chair which was awesome. Unfortunately, I don't think the nail tech was experienced enough to do powdered gel nails and due to the language barrier it made it difficult to explain. She tried to do them over, but was not helping the situation, it was only making them look worse. Every time I would question why they looked so bad, she would say something about black powder being hard to do. Don't offer the color black if it's hard to do. From what I could gather the nail tech was the mother of who I think is the owner of the shop. I tried to show her and there's no language barrier there, but she was too busy talking with friends on her cell phone, ON SPEAKER PHONE. The only excuse she could give was that sometimes with certain pigments the black does something. I was like, I've gotten black 3 out of the 4 times I've been here never have I had this problem. My nails look like I did them, which is why I pay good money to have them done professionally. She ended up buffing them again and placing some gel top coat and putting me under the UV light, which is what I didn't want which is why I get the powered gel. The owner is very unprofessional in the fact that the whole time she was working on her client she was on speaker phone just chatting it up. She offered no help for my situation whatsoever. Very disappointing...

This is an amazing group of friendly staff and amazing artists! I told them I was going to Universal and I liked minions and this is the amazing job they did and the price is VERY fair. I am truly a happy customer and I will come here again!!!

Absolutely horrible! I asked for a brown Ombré and showed the lady exactly what I wanted. By the time they were done, it looked like a French manicure done by a small child. They had already charged my credit card $50 & wouldn't refund any of it. If she didn't know how to do an Ombré, she should of been honest about it and given me to someone else. She told me brown was a difficult color to work with. I'm not sure why it would be any harder than any other color. As stated on another review, I also had the mother of who I assumed was the owner. The daughter was on speaker phone with other people while I was there, too. Or busy with her son who was running wild through the salon. This was a horrible experience that I will not repeat, nor will I recommend to anyone. I posted a picture of what I asked for and what I got. No one can possibly think the two pictures are remotely alike. I was also told when I asked for an Ombré, it would be $45. My card was charged $50.
