I used Expedia to book successive nights and "I" made a mistake and booked two different rooms for the same night. I caught my mistake when confirming reservations for the second night when they could not find my reservation. They told me to call Expedia. I did. Expedia called them to try and get a credit. Winter Park reservations refused to refund or credit towards the second night. I double paid for my stay! NO MERCY, NO CONSIDERATION. And they were not overbooked on a Thursday. We had plans to stay so I paid for a 2nd night, Friday.. I asked them to at least give me a nice room. I paid for the gold room, and was there early waiting for a room. They would not allow early check in and we had to wait until 4 pm. They ended up sticking us in the back of the resort facing the highway. Heads UP... They do not like working with Expedia customers. They treat Expedia customers like 3rd class?? Expedia customers are their fill in when they have rooms to spare. To top it off, if I had not gotten there right at check in time, 4 pm, they would have canceled me. They sold the room twice. They gave a second guest the code to the door lock. That guest used the code and started to walk into our room while we were dressing?? NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE GREEDY BASED BUSINESS ETHICS. Beautiful location, love the Rocky Mountains. Too bad greed overshadows this resort?

Great service, lobby is a bit confusing if you go through the parking garage, rooms are very roomy and the view is amazing. Only problem was the lack of box fans, one doesn't support a 3 bedroom condo...

The only 'Ski in Ski out' at the Base of Winter Park. It makes skiing so easy when you can just roll out of bed and get to everything you need. Each unit is individually owned and outfitted differently so make sure that you use a good rental management company. I normally use Winter Park Lodging Co because you can rent the specific unit that you see while others will put you in whichever unit is available at the time. Slopeside hot tubs are fun to watch skiers on the chairlift on a sunny day.

Located right on the mountain in Winter Park Zephyr Lodge has a private underground garage for parking. The condos are either 1, 2 or 3 bedroom. The one I stayed in was 2 bedroom and was nicely furnished. There is a small kitchen area with fridge, sink, dishwasher, stove and microwave. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that many areas (carpets, stairs) need to be cleaned or replaced. Also, in the unit I stayed in the windows were very hard to open (very hot outside and needed some cool air) so we resorted to using a small spice bottle.
