Full of fascinating exhibits, and far less of a circus/theme park than a traditional zoo. If there is a downside, it's amateur and "pro" photographers hauling 3 foot lenses around and acting as though they own the place. Well directed walkways make this a great place to bring kids. Suggest avoiding any extreme weather as the animals roam quite far within their enclosures and the winter hibernating animals are nowhere to be seen during 4 months of the year. For animal lovers, an annual pass is better value than a single entry.

I am not from the area, so when I was visiting a friend here, I was invited to visit The Ecomuseum. My friend told me it would be an hour or so, but we ended up spending the entire afternoon there. I was a bit disappointed at first as I didn't see many animals, but then I realized that since it was a hot day, most animals were sleeping or in the shade. So we made a circle and, when the clouds came out, so did the animals. While we walked we also stumbled upon a caribou and porcupine presentation, which was very cool and fun. Saw wolves playfully fight, bear take a dip in the water fountain, and otters go down water slide. I also managed to take a couple of good photos. We then spend the last couple of minutes looking at birds and didn't get a chance to check out the museum's basement and its nocturnal animals. There is still so much to see and I will definitely be back.

Animals are well taken care of and it's easy to see the money goes towards their care and not in a bunch of touristic unnecessary things. Really enjoyed my visit and plan to go again. Price is super affordable!!!

Inexpensive and pretty. We couldn't see much because the enclosures are so big (which is good for the animals). I would have given the place 5 stars but there is no food for sale and only one drink machine that is cash only. Come prepared with your own food and drinks!
