Story

22 Bowen’s is sophisticated, elegant, and easy going. It invites guests with a touch of opulence to a world where indulging yourself is encouraged. On any given evening, a smattering of Newport’s finest come to sink into soft leather, glass in hand, and be treated to some of the City by the Sea’s best food and drink.

What can I say? I've never eaten a better meal. The service was personal, friendly, well-educated and well-trained, and the food and wine were absolutely delicious. I ordered the filet mignon dinner plate, which was absolutely scrumptious. In hindsight, I enjoyed my girlfriend's sirloin steak better, although I wasn't sure as I don't eat a lot of steak regularly. We were there on a quiet night in early winter, and we took our sweet time ordering and eating everything - I'd imagine in the summer time it's a bit more crowded, harder to get a table, etc. Wonderful experience and, if you've got it to splurge, worth the money.

Great food and staff ate outside yesterday!! Love it. Much more pleasant than the Black Pearl. Girls at Black Pearl very snippy! Will come back ASAP.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The waiter was VERY RUDE ; it seemed pretty evident that he was not pleased to be serving a family, rather than, say, 4 adults. And to be fair, my two little ones were so well behaved, that there was no need for this upturned-nose behavior. My husband and I half-joked "are we back in France with the kids?" [Because all the restaurants we went to in France, even the "family friendly" ones, seemed to despise children and were so rude.] Then, the food took an HOUR to get to the table! An hour. I can assure you that we didn't order anything complicated. So at that point, the little ones were starving and it was late, and overall ruined my nice birthday dinner out. Though I do have to add, that it seems to be a trend with Newport restaurants. We've been going to Newport for years, and have crossed a lot of places off our list due to extremely slow service [not only food coming out slowly, but having to ask for water, like 5 times before getting it, or asking three times for the check...]. However, if you have, say 3 hours to just kill and wait around for food and drink, the food was quite good. We will not be going back though.

This place has the best food I have ever had. Has amazing service and Shane, Patrick, Joe and Sid are the nicest be servers.👍👍

This place has it all. Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Service was smooth and food came out quickly. My fiance and I were celebrating our birthdays and soon to be wedding and the waitress gave us complimentary cake!! They go above and beyond. If it wasn't pricey I would go frequently, but you definitely get what you pay for!
