My breakfast bagel sandwich was delicious! I got the bacon, egg, and cheese on the everything bagel. I am full and happy. The bacon wasn’t crispy so I couldn’t eat it all but it had good flavor. He did cut the sandwich in half so I was good to eat it on the go. They have so many bagel options and naturally I had to get an additional half dozen and two homemade cream cheeses for my breakfast this week. I’m really looking forward to digging into the spinach & artichoke and the very berry cream cheeses. If I lived nearby, I could easily eat here every day!
Not a big fan of bagels but love lox and bagels, so wanted to try good ones and came here. Got the lox sandwich with everything bagel held the capers and it was delicious. The snack and the spread that came with the sandwich were good too. The staff and the atmosphere were nice. Glad to find this place.
Probably the best bagels you’ll get in the Houston area. We got 3 bacon egg and cheeses on plain and everything bagel. Bagels were fresh, had a nice exterior bite to them and soft inside. The bagel shop was a small, quaint hole in the wall type establishment. The two men working were nice and food came out quickly. My only “complaint” would be the sandwich could have used more bacon/egg. But, that’s just me being greedy. The star was definitely the bagel itself!
Holy cow! That was a delicious breakfast bagel. I've been looking for a good bagel place and this place hits the spot. The bagels have the perfect amount of chew and aren't too tough. The last time I had a bagel this good was 6 years ago in New York. I will definitely be coming back!
The coffee and bagels were great! I had the cinnamon crunch bagel and my husband had the bacon eggs and cheese breakfast sandwich on a garlic bagel. The owner was very friendly too. Highly recommend
I myself am from Brooklyn, NY & I must say these bagels tasted like home! I haven’t had a bagel this good in 3 years since I’ve been in NY. I met the owner and he was wonderful and super knowledgeable in the NY food department. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch! They even have cannolis! Mangia!
Family run and cared for and it shows. Everyone is exceptionally kind and professional, venue is clean and the food is great. Best bagels in North Houston as far as I'm concerned. Make your way here and slow down, savor a bagel and enjoy the great service. Edit: my previous review was for Abbeys Bagels which I lament to say has closed. But in its place is 4 Brothers NY Bagels which carries the same dedication and mom+pop charm that I love.
Went for the first time today, will def be back! Bagels are fresh and it was quick and friendly service. Get here early as the bagels do sell out!
This review is for NY Bagels not for Abby's. For some reason Google took the reviews of the previous bagel place and applied them to this new restaurant also bagels but with none of the same people or store name The owners 4 Brothers sell bagels in the HEB at Barker Cypress and 290. They are excellent bagels and remind me of "real" bagels from the NE. Our favorite local bagel shop Abby's went out of business around a year ago - heartbroken. 4 Brothers eventually bought the shop and opened the end of Jan 2022. Our bagel commute went back to about 15min from the 1 hour it took to go to get them from their HEB location - so excited. It's a nice shop, good people working there, plenty of parking easy to get into and out. They serve breakfast and lunch dine in or carry out. Their bagels are good. Unfortunately there are not as good as the ones sold at their HEB location. My personal preference is for dense and chewy with plenty of well developed gluten. The more standard Texan's taste is for something lighter so I understand why they might go a little more mainstream so these could be perfect for you. We have visited the store 4 times over the past month and ate a few dozen bagels. Hey, if you are used to the ones that come in bags at the grocery store these will be a BIG step up and there is nothing better in this 1960 area. This is a new store and they may still be honing their processes we will check in once in a while. Recommended
Updated review as this is now 4 Brothers NY Bagels. These are excellent bagels. As good as you can get. I was traveling to 290 before and this is closer. Soft enough to have tuna fish or egg salad without too much of a mess. Very good size. They seem to make every type of bagel you can imagine. It’s also great that they are open on weekends. I get two dozen at a time and freeze and the microwave for 30 seconds, cut and toast. It’s only a 15 minute drive from Spring-Cypress and Champion Forest Drive if you go early in a Sunday.
