Some really truly sick sadistic people here. Pity for any human who has to deal with nearly anyone at any level here. Answering their phones seems ‘optional’ for practically all employees here, who mostly all have surly attitudes and act as though they are doing you a huge favour by merely performing the minimal requirements of their job. The 46th is just another huge thorn in Detroit’s bleeding side and awful national reputation. The exception always seems to be the very helpful and friendly and efficient people of the Small Claims Division, for which I am grateful.

Ms. Deeken, the 46th District Court is not part of Detroit's court system. It is part of the Oakland County court system. So your attempt to cast Detroit and its employees in a negative light is misplaced. No alternative facts please. If you are going to criticize get your facts straight.

I got a ticket and was instructed to call the court about a court date. I called back 3 times to schedule because no one would ever pick up the phone. I was on hold for 50 minutes for a 1 minute phone call..

Got a ticket on 12/19. I called every other day to schedule a court date and the same young imbecile answered the phone. She kept telling me that the ticket hasn't been turned in and because of the holidays (Christmas and New Years). Mind you the write tickets electronically! Anyhow, I called on Jan 5th and was told that I went into default on 1/4 and in order for me to get a court date, I'd have to send a $165 "bond" and write a letter to the Court in hopes that I'm granted a hearing. I get a hearing for 3/15. I go and get the ticket dismissed and they refunded the $165. 2 days later, I receive a letter from them dated 3/15 indicating that my license is suspended for failure to pay the $165. IDIOTS!!!
