would give it zero stars if I could. police in this area have nothing better to do than pull you over for anything they possibly can and hassle you for no reason. the court then rakes in money from all the yuppies on the pettiest offenses in the book.

total racket and absolute EMBRASSMENT of a judicial system.

Where do I even begin. This court house is a like a meat processing plant. Everyday they send hundreds if not close to a thousand people in through the court and punish in the most severe ways possible which includes absurd fines and costs. There are three judges, two of whom deserve respect: Jerou and Lowe. If you get them - you will end up getting treated pretty fairly, as much as fair can get in a court room. As for Judge Plakas, he is just an awful bully on a power trip. I have never seen anyone act like he does. He speaks in a sarcastic manner and raises his voice while smiling and yelling "YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL" so frequently at anyone and everyone. He is way too young to be a judge and it shows. He let a woman that punched someone in a road rage accident and laughed about it (he even asked "why are you laughing"? and she mumbled "hehe sorry") walk free with 3 days anger management classes, but then he goes and throws people in jail because they miss a drug test once (even though they go in the very next day to make up for it). He has personal vendettas against certain people and loves to bring up original charges, before they get dropped down to something else, so honestly there is no point in paying your attorney so much money to work out the lowest sentence possible because (google image this) -Bloated Ben Affleck look alike except with blue eyes will still bring up the old one and treat you like an absolute pile of heaping trash. He is the most miserable person I have ever seen in my life and gets off on making people's lives a living hell because he was given the power to do so through connections. It's really sad that he can just get away with it. A lot of police officers that have been around a long time even say things about him and how unpleasant he is, how many generous donations us regular folk have made to his 40,000 dollar inground pool that never ever gets used. Think of how many roads could be fixed with that amount of money. The worst part is that he brags about it, too. He loves to smile and shout in court about how he basically robs civilians of money so he can have his nice mansion and have his spawn go to some prestigious university. This guy is trash and only became a judge because his dad was one and money talks and people listen! Can anyone say NEPOTISM?

I recently attended the 35th District Court which is in Plymouth Michigan.  The 35th District Court covers Canton, Plymouth and Northville.  As I sat in Judge Jim Plakas court room I looked around the court and couldn't help but notice that approximately 50% of the litagants/defendants in the court room were of African-American decent.  As a resident of Oakland County and fomerly of Wayne County I am very aware of the demographics of both.  So I wanted to verify some facts before I posted this information and what I found was shocking and disturbing.  So here are the facts that I discovered about the demographics in the 3 communities covered by the 35th District Court.  Canton has approximately 4% African-American population, Northville has 1.6% and Plymouth has 1.5%.  So the obvious question is "why were approximately 50% of the litagants of African-American decent in the court room"?

Terrible experience today. I tried my best to be pleasant as possible even though every one was a complete jerk. Very unorganized was sent to multiple rooms because they keept loosing files.  Got their at 8am  didnt leave till 1. And this was just over a traffic violation.
