The fish tacos were fresh and had the right amount of spice. The gumbo was tasty, but very thin with only a few bits of meat in it. The service was underwhelming. The greeter acted irritated that she had to get off her phone to seat us. Our server was ok, but very slow to get my husband his beer. It arrived at our table right after we got our food.
Their breakfast is amazing. So is their red beans and rice and beignets. They close at 2 but you can still order food from the bar/lobby area or in the pantry.
I had the lobster Mac and gumbo. Both were excellent!
I thought this was really good! I had the crab cakes add the red beans and rice and it was delicious! Price wasn't bad either!
Pros: - Food tasted good not great. Short ribs, gumbo, Lobster mac & cheese. Carrot cake - Staff was friendly Cons: - Pricey considering value - Service was moderate not commensurate with prices - Decor is pretty mundane hotel lobby restaurant
Amazing food !
This restaurant/bar is in the lobby of the New Orleans Marriott on Canal St. It's a really cool/classy atmosphere, but even with my price expectations adjusted for the French Quarter, the food is still too expensive for what you get here. The only reason I would eat here unless they overhaul the menu would be if it's pouring rain and I'm staying at the hotel. Otherwise, there are too many good food places within a short walk of the Marriott.
I ordered the charboiled oysters and they were so delicious! Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and juicy. The oysters were sprinkled generously with melted cheese and sat on top of thick salt rocks. If I knew they'd be this delicious, I would have ordered more!
This is for the lounge.... in short the waitstaff made this place horrendous. They had a chip on their shoulders as big as the Mississippi is wide. They quibbled over who was responsible for which area and then vanished for long periods of time leaving empty water glasses and parched patrons waiting for drinks that never seemed to make it to the table. They will not have to worry soon though.... with services like it will be a deadzone.
super chill bar in the hotel - had a sweet beer special when I was here, could have been because MillerCoors was in town.
