This place has saved me from a million different weird situations. Emergency sunglasses, measuring tapes, hand sewing needles, HDMI cables, batteries, barrettes...even a hookah (yes, it is possible to have a hookah emergency)! I am so lucky to have this place close to me, they're just wonderful. It's never hard to meet their required $5 minimum to use a card to pay.

Firstly this place is not ventilated at all and as you go in you are hit by a strong combination of noxious cleaning chemicals. I noticed this in all this particular chain stores - no ventilation. At the 1 p.m. heat, your histamines are high, these cancer causing chemicals go directly to your organs and brain. I held my breath instantly and I was not going to stay when I saw the line but I went to check the item and come later and shop while holding my breath. I was caring a small plastic bag with about 25 oz of staff from a next door store. The salesperson yelled at me that if I was going to "roam around the store," I should leave my bag on the shelf (near the door). She specifically mentioned "roaming." I pointed out that the shelf was not attended and anyone who goes out can pick up my bag. She responded to me "nobody is going to take it." This occurred in front of about 10 customers. Now I was going to leave my $8.00 value item bag unattended, right by the exit and she assured me that nobody was going to take it, but I would be roaming the store holding the bag I was suspected of ripping of some $2.00 item. Basically what she was saying in front of all the other customers is that I was the only possible thief in the neighborhood. Other stores have a leave-your-bag policy but they don't leave the customer's property by the door unattended. It's ridiculous. Maybe I had this special you-look-like-thieving-look because I don't look Hispanic. There was no other bag on the shelf and I didn't stay to check what other customers had in their hands as I had to get out of that noxious chemical smell but it ruined my afternoon and I am still livid at being so insulted in front of so many people.

Lot's of variety. Very few items .99¢. Owner's are rude.
