Would you believe, an employee came out of one of the backrooms of the store and informed me that the manager said that I am not allowed to take photos while I shop at this store? Seriously! I asked him to please get the manager. The manager was taking quite a while to appear, so I went over to the same entryway where I saw the employee exit who had delivered the manager's message to me, and I stood there and waited. After several more minutes a small woman with dark hair, wearing 99 Cents Only Store employee working garb came out. " "Yes, can I help you?", she uttered. "What's the deal?", I asked in return. She wanted me to clarify what I was referring to. And I did. Well, to make a SHORT story LONG: she said that taking pictures in the store was against store policy and that I could not take any more. "Since when?", I demanded. I told her that I'd taken many pics of this store inside and out and have posted them all and reviewed this store online as well. She is the FIRST individual and MANAGER at ANY 99 Cents Only Store who's insisted that I not take photographs at their store. I vehemently expressed to this chick, that this is the United States, and that constitutionally I've broken no laws and that I would continue to take photos at stores and public places as I pleased. I then invited and CHALLENGED her to call the police if she still had a problem. Apparently, she did not. I then completed my shopping while snapping a few more pics with my camera phone, payed for my purchases and left the premises. Probably for good! I GREATLY dislike being treated like a suspect or criminal at ANY TIME, particularly when I'm patronizing a business or establishment. The photos that I take go online along with my reviews and ratings for other customers and POTENTIAL customers to see. Basically, free advertisment for businesses. Before this unfortunately confrontational incident, I had this particular 99 Cents Only Store rated at 5 stars; the highest. Yeah, you can still find them on Google Maps. You'll also find my current 1 star rating too; the VERY LOWEST.

MARLENE IS the most caring hardest worker. Due to my critical CANCER & CROHNS I have my husband bring me by for items that we only find & get at your store. Marlene IS wonderful. We come along ways after my treatments & his work. Your welcome email or contact us. Your great prices help us out during our struggle. We recommend fellow CANCER & CROHNS people at the treatments to come to your store. Other relative very sick & her kindness helps so much. Prices have risen over past couple years but still lots of products ay bargain prices. Younger employees could use customer service training but there are several very friendly staff. Strawberries $1 they're 4$ at market. Great for quick stop or last minute garnishes.

Been coming here for well over 15 yrs. My visit today was an unpleasant one. I purchased over $30 merchandise & many were ceramic & glass. Did they plan to wrap them in anything to prevent breakage? No. Why? Because they have NOTHING TO WRAP THEM WITH. No newspaper no paper towels, NOTHING. Of course I did the best I could to protect them from breaking & that took a bit of effort on my part, no thanks to the unsympathetic cashier. Any offer of help would've been appreciated. Even an apology, if sincere, would've been nice. Nope. Instead, she just had attitude like she wished I'd hurry up. I paid as soon as she rung me up. Maybe I should've taken my time & paid AFTER I was done bagging/packing/securing my purchase!

RIVERSIDE CA ARLINGTON BLVD. A GREAT GUY WHO who works in produce & the morning at the back named JOEY IS GREAT my wife IS VERY SICK WITH COMPLICATIONS FROM CANCER & CROHNS & he always goes out of his way the extra mile to help find things we need....Maria & Rosa are also so nice. Hope JOEY & other 2 employees get this. It's hard enough to watch a loved one fighting for their health it helps to have people who care. THANK YOU. FORTINO
